Thinking back to my time fighting the COVID pandemic, Kelly asked me "That was before you had a therapist, right?" I said "Yeah, the closest thing I had to a therapist was Kurt Vonnegut" and I just happened to read a passage from him at the time that felt so eerily similar to my own experience.

An excerpt from a Kurt Vonnegut novel: "'What was that all about?' asked Castle.
'I haven't got the slightest idea. Frank Hoenikker wants to see me right away.'
'Take your time. Relax. He's a moron.'
'He said it was important.'
'How does he know what's important? I could carve a better man out of a banana.'
'Well, finish your story anyway.'
'Where was I?'
'The bubonic plague. The bulldozer stalled by corpses.'
'Oh, yes. Anyway, one sleepless night I stayed up with Father while he worked. It was all we could do to find a live patient to treat. In bed after bed after bed we found dead people.
'And Father started giggling," Castle continued.

You definitely look nothing like him. I was told I look like Olivia Wilde from a drunk patient in my emergency department. He came back like two months later, also drunk, didn't remember me, but made the same comparison again. I definitely don't see it, but I'll take it as a compliment.
