Oh that's a good idea, I bet they love that - I usually cook a little bit extra to share - I am so weak, I find myself selecting dog friendly foods for myself too, like no onion etc. 😆 Got to spoil them!

Urgh. "Greek" (lol?) frats. Cringe. Hope this would lead to legal change, so that they have to publish member lists. Hirers should view membership disfavourably (I don't think it's discrimination to say that if you need to be in a frat to get by in college or get hired, you are obviously shit)

Ikr! Really enjoyed the delivery! - Grifters everywhere! Nearly got the hobbit game too. My guess Weta were prob invited to pitch and hired folks, but maybe not experienced to make great decisions or market a game. Even experienced designers' games can flop esp. for reasons related to $$ and time.

Wasn't long ago cozy games weren't a genre. We had the (hit and miss) casual Steam category, "Relaxing", "Cute" and my go to search "Garden". The graphics tip is so on point, but win condition in trailier - I'll keep watch for that! How did I not find this channel before?! 💟 youtu.be/2oPsqmF8-VI

Truth! 💯 Just a thought exercise: If I were having some kind of whiteboard brainstorming sesh, planning how I could design sticky ideas people WANT to believe, "you can have superpowers" might be one. Also good for connecting w/ people who had/have experiences and are terrified or destabilized.

I think that the 'psionic' stuff was always there, but was recently given a new search engine friendly name (similar to UAP actually come to think of it) 🤔 My gut feeling (so probably completely wrong) is there *is* an element of that, but thinking we are in charge seems wishful.

Almost goes without saying at this point that I got up early and didn't secure a driving test slot. blah, blah, moan, blah (whatever) Note to self for next week joining queue 5:47 - too early 5.56 too late. (try 5:53 next time) Even my dog could make a better process and website (lol)

Oh really! I didn't know that 🙈😆 ! There seems to be an effort to inject as much noise into the discussion as possible, so that we don't know which way is up. Question is, is it planned e.g. to stymie public discussion or is it just 'celebrities' trying to stay relevant (my thinking r.n. is both)

Govs, legacy contractors, nu-school tech bros/hoes. None seem to have our best interests at heart when it comes to this topic and I've never been much for the 'aliens [or whatever / whomever they are] are going to step in and save us' line.

Ty for the vote of confidence! 🤩 That sounds intriguing, I hope you're right. It's frustrating to sit and watch it playing out this way. I'm ashamed to say, I'm beginning to reach a point of indifference about who gets control of the narrative, tech, whatever.

You know the recentJason Sands controversy? Idk the whle story, but. I thought his story initially was BS. Something about him seemed dishonest. But now when I watch Grusch and Elizondo - ppl I initially thought seemed legit now seem FAKE af and so my radar is off, maybe Sands is telling the truth

Trying again teaching myself - one of the issues is that my crochet stitches aren't very tall, so plan B - double rows. I need to practice turning it over too - somehow my second colour was only showing on the back of the work, but I needed it to show on the front. Unpicked again - 4th time lucky?

Having mixed feelings on this. I know fuel's expensive and that, but damn. Idk. Could be though, could be. 🤔 Be funny if it was that. Especially that they were being tracked internationally by the 'mericans (lol) - their gang must be really leet at siphoning.

Something v. weird going on. If no explosives found, was it a training exercise? A warning? If so, from whom? Maybe a decoy - Did a real attack happen or was foiled while we got distracted? What of the other masked men alleged to have escaped? Why the 5 released? www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...

Quote from guardian article from eyewitness who first reported the vans: “I think we sort of dazzled them, and they started to run, and some of them ran straight ahead across the road into the field, and some turned and started going down towards Kempsford, which is our next village.”

Despite five men having been arrested, the farmer said there were “definitely more than five” and estimated she saw between eight and 10 people with their faces covered and wearing “slim-fitting clothes”. Authorities have previously said the incident was contained."

I forgot to take a pic yesterday before unpicking it all - but that crochet attempt was a disaster! Seems like I suck at counting and forgot how to do the basic stitches half the time. At one point it looks like I also turned the work and started to crochet a row before the first one 😆

A constant recommendation.

J is for …
Jansson
One of my favourite imagined places to inhabit as unhappy
child was Moominvalley. I am still an unofficial ambassador
for it, telling young writers I mentor that they will struggle
to find a better constructed fictional world. I push those
writers into reading Tove Jansson because she makes
words dance, because she makes locations shimmer with
a sense of nature holding within it the not-quite-real that
may manifest at any moment. I push because she is one
of the finest storytellers, because her imagination still
pushes me. I hope that is all in Hookland, as no book ever
taught me more about the power of dark absence in a text
than Moominvalley In November. While the Moomins may
sometimes overshadow Jansson’s stunning lines as illus
trator, the sheer fairytale menace of her early paintings,
they cannot obscure her power to create spaces where the
mind may walk in hope of wonder

OK, not that I can crochet very well, but I just made some little pixel art embroidery patterns (my first time) and now I am super-hyped to try making them - now if only I could remember where I out my crochet stuff 🤔

🤗Ahh the memories! Many days spent knocking tiny cups over. I had the Timbertop family. Most sets are more pastel colours now, can be a bit garish. Vintage colours ftw! - Dark green and muted florals. This particular set is really lovely though! They are worth some money now if you still have them
