as for issue numer 2, this is gonna be more obvious, netbsd notifies you at its startup as to the display parameters of the resolution and pixel bitwidth you can either change the display settings from openfirmware to match your x11 config file or vice versa i'm choosing the former

why am i guessing that number 1 could be happening ? because i had a similar issue with ethernet i allowed the installer to autoselect the driver, and i couldn't connect to the internet but manually selecting 100baseTX as the driver got it online

i've been struggling to get netbsd working properly on my g3 power mac after installing, and i think i might have an ideas what the problem is. 1 ) wscons starts up with drivers that conflict with the r128 card 2 ) incorrect display parameters

utility, marginal and otherwise, while not having any standard metric unit does have a reliably understood upper bound and is not found by the same practices as profit i’m not criticizing a math error, i’m criticizing a category error

it’s more that some of them seem to conflate a sense of higher benefit over cost with profit even if neither the benefit nor the cost can be quantified and even though profit by definition has to be numerical in units of currency and unbounded

i don’t think it’s fair to say that i think ancaps reject math in fact they seem to embrace some mathematical constructs in favor of some metrics at the expense of others ( i.e. deflation )
