I have set the date September 22 to be my Return of the Rains celebration. Surely rainy season will begin by then 🫠

Buffins @buffinss.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

Going to put in a small order of bookmark prints for friends and maybe something to sell at the local stores (lots of pika fans here).

I’ve been recently enthralled with our local pika population, so I made a bookmark with gouache and watercolor. I too want to stand on mossy rocks and yell sometimes

Also, grateful for my eu friends checking in, and letting me vent out some complicated feelings on this holiday. Hope everyone here is having a safe 4th, however you choose to acknowledge it 💜

I’m gonna go eat some cheeseburgers and guard my yard with a garden hose for the next few hours. Because half of my town has legit ptsd from a huge wildfire that was caused by a smoke bomb.

Briefly took the pup out so she could stare at some parade horses (and tickle her herding instinct), but otherwise been distracting myself with making swatches for new gouache and acrylic markers. Self care is organizing art supplies while procrastinating a commission for one day.

Hire real artists for the love of all the fucking gods. And if you can’t afford a real artist, don’t proudly show off your ai created monstrosity like you found some sort of life hack. I see those ai generated flyers for events in my town and think “that’s the last place I want to go”

Buffins @buffinss.bsky.social · 20/06/2026

If for some cursed reason you make a generated image with AI, do not show it to an artist to get their opinion on the image. And if you insist on doing something this dumb, don’t have the audacity to act offended when the artist chews you out and then decides to ignore you after

I took too long to finish my coffee this morning before our daily run. Lumi sure tries her very best to imitate her big brother but it’s just sort of cute and squeaky 🥹

Slowly but surely I can feel all the burnout leaving my body. My immune system is still getting caught up, but I already feel like a different person. Energy to hike and paint again. Grateful af for days like this 💜

Not bad for the first week of “new” bosses in my favorite video game. Closest I’ll ever get to #1 probably 😅

A silly restoration shaman in world of Warcraft managed to get second place in the world for healing in a new dungeon. Top healer parses are often a meme because that usually means the raid took a stupid amount of damage and people stood in whirlwinds.

Gonna try to post here more often, and get my websites in a position to sell prints of my crows and other birds. But in the meantime, just happy to level my watercolor XP and paint some doggos for some lovely people

Not gonna lie it’s quite terrifying to make this leap in this economy, even tho I’ve been planning for this for 5+ years… but burnout is no fucking joke, and the health issues from burnout made it crystal clear I needed to make a decision before things became irreversible. I only have one body, so…

Buffins @buffinss.bsky.social · 28/04/2026

My goal is to have a few revenue streams, mostly focused on my “invisible” glow in the dark murals, some art/pattern licensing, animated emotes and various things for streamers, and eventually pet portrait commissions. Cooking up some more things as well!

110 1

Buffins @buffinss.bsky.social · 28/04/2026

Oh I never updated this but uh, yeah, no more tech job. Surprise. The burnout was truly eating my body and brain alive, and I’ve been given a unique opportunity to take some time for myself and chase art full time. Some projects I can’t talk about yet, but I’m already working on some commissions!

I try not to ask for much, I know we are all sort of struggling under the current grind. But I consider Mark a friend and daily inspiration, and he could use some help. If you’ve ever wanted to buy me a drink or one of my prints, maybe consider donating that to my friend instead 🩵 gofund.me/2a0d0171
