I think he's seeing the crazy oak pollen we've been having for a few weeks?

Pollen count from San Antonio's KSAT 12 news: high oak pollen, low mold, low pecan pollen

Quality time with the beast today

Black cat with green eyes sitting on the arm of a chair. The tip of her tongue is visible

The same cat sitting on the back of the chair, rubbing her face on my hair

Cat with her ears pulled back for pets. She's blurry

Cat glaring at me from the seat of an armchair

Stumbles in 2 months later I'm done Currently blocking but I had to try it on (and wear it to work) as soon as it was off the needles

Updated for the second night in the new bin: light to convince them to stay down

A green bin with a white plastic insert sitting on a carpeted floor. A two headed grow lamp has been clamped to the side of the bin, with both lights shining down into it. Behind the bin is a tangle of power cords and a DVD collection

My worms outgrew their (extremely tiny) home so I got them an upgrade

A green tray sitting in a sink. The base of the tray has a black spigot. The tray has what looks like brown dirt in it. That's coconut husk shreds

The same bin of brown material, mixed with a lot of small white pellets. That's perlite, a lightweight material used in gardening to aerate soil. A small green hand-rake is resting on the material

The green bin from before, with another bin nested in it and a white sheet of plastic resting within it. This is a barrier with air holes in it that discourages the worms from exploring outside their safe habitat

Went looking at pictures of my cat who died in 2022 and started crying 👍👍👍

A black and white cat with yellow eyes. The left side of the cat's mouth is swollen and red

Maximum coziness

A small white and tan dog lies on a large circular dog bed before a fireplace hung with 3 homemade Christmas stockings, and a blue armchair. The fireplace holds an electric space heater styled to look like a wood stove. The dog is wearing a patterned sweater.

Slow going because of the complex pattern (and I'm not working on it every day....) but we're 1/3ish done! Hoping that my tension issues block out

A dark green knitting project on a blue circular needle. The pattern has a latticed cable design

I made steak for my family thanksgiving today! My dad got some great steaks and I'm really proud of how they turned out

Two ribeye steaks on a plate before a stove. They are seasoned with salt and pepper

The two steaks, cooked and resting on a plate on the stove. The steaks are seared brown and crisp. There are 2 whole garlic cloves atop the right steak, and 1 whole clove on the left one

A Thanksgiving place setting. On the dinnerplate there is a portion of steak, some green salad, and a broccoli-cheese casserole. A dinner roll sits on a nearby plate, with a glass of water

Early stages.... this is the first project I've done since February so the first few hours of work were me remembering my groove. I'm starting to feel the cool rhythm this pattern has!

A hand holds a blue circular knitting needle with a short tube of dark green yarn cast onto it. The stitches nearest the needles have a jumbled, rough textured stitch pattern, and the rest of the tube is ribbed. This is a sweater being knit from the neck down

A hand holds aloft a tube of dark green knit fabric, with a ribbed end and a lattice pattern beginning to take form on the active edge, which is on a blue circular knitting needle. The beginning of the row of stitches on the needle is marked with a lime green stitch marker.

Coworker gave me some cuttings today

A philodendron leaf, variegated to be dark green on the left half and yellow on the right half. Split almost exactly down the middle

Yarn and swatch. This is my first sweater using 100% wool yarn, so far I like it. I love doing challenging cablework in very dark colors

A shelf at a yarn store. Skeins of colorful yarn are stacked together. The leftmost stack is a dark fir green, the stack to the right of that is a golden yellow, and the rightmost stack is a warm gray

An arm wearing a black sweater sleeve next to a skein of dark fir green yarn, for color contrast.

A dark fir green yarn knit into half of a guage swatch, working off of a blue circular knitting needle, on a cream background. The swatch is worked in moss stitch

A completed knit guage swatch of dark green yarn on a black background. The swatch is worked in moss stitch

This is my third year as a sweater knitter, so here's a thread of my latest baby. I'm using the Blueberry Pie pattern by Johanna Kunin on Ravelry (her picture here)
