Unsure what to say as a personal description. I’m a speck. We exist on a living, spinning rock. We are at the mercy of physics. Nice to meet you.

Three things differentiate living from the soul versus living from ego only. They are: the ability to sense and learn new ways, the tenacity to ride a rough road, and the patience to learn deep love over time.— Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés,"Women Who Run With the Wolves"

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston has announced its acquisition of Tamara de Lempicka's 1923 painting "Her Sadness"! Until this year, the work had remained in the same family for 90 years.
A long, narrow painting of an unsmiling, white-skinned woman with straight red hair (cut off at about ear length) wearing dark clothing and a tan winter scarf, against an outdoor background with a leafless tree, and a tumble of buildings. She stands sideways such that the viewer sees one hand almost entirely within the pocket of the woman's skirt or pants. She turns toward the viewer so as to offer a 3/4 view of her face.
