One of the most insightful sessions of the day at #ipgac was an overview of the audio market given by Videl Bar-Kar and Mariana Feged of Bookwire + Matt Sweet of @elevenlabs.io ‘It’s a cultural imperative to put audio front and centre’ said Bar-Kar. The huge growth in the sector continues.

Marie-Pierre Gracedieu is the CEO and Founder of Le Bruit du Monde, a very select and focussed list. She explains that they publish only 12 titles a year, and just 6 books in translation. This allows them to put their energy into books they really believe in. It's very different to 25 years ago.

Our next speaker at the FRM is Simon Philippe Turcut of literary publisher Editions La Peuplade who is based in Quebec, Canada. They are one of the only companies there who are publishing books in translation from around the world. They sell books directly to the French market.
