I've been planning to start a Patreon for my sci-fi (1000+ words/week). But now I'm debating between that and Substack. I've done the research, but I just feel like I've reached a point of decision paralysis. I'm curious if anyone has an opinion on the two platforms (either as reader or creator)?

If an AI detector ever tags any of my writing with AI use, it won't be because I used AI in my writing. It will be because LLMs were trained on my writing. Where do you think AI used to learn em-dashes? Someday when I travel to the epicenter of the AI singularity, I will encounter myself.

In my quest to watch all of the best films, I just rewatched “Do the Right Thing” after 30 some years. Friends, this is a masterpiece. It’s just so well done. It should have won best picture. It’s that good. (And was almost wholly snubbed and won no awards.) Watch it.
