Personally if I had a massive platform that I built in part by branding myself as someone who picks apart scientific methodology I would not use it to undermine the work of disabled folks fighting for their lives + ignoring/misrepresenting the sources they cite. But then again, I'm not a grifter so

An unmitigated pandemic is a fascist project that harms the most marginalized groups in society. If you’re able to mask and don’t, you are participating in that fascist project and are harming your most vulnerable community members. Uncomfortable with that? Good! Put on an n95. Access needs? ⬇️

Proceed with skepticism when you hear it said that around 1 in 29 people are carrying the virus for that estimate is already several days old and if you remember what many people did yesterday you should know that now it’s probably worse than around 1 in 29 people.

Finding it increasingly jarring that so much presumably realistic contemporary fiction these days takes place in an alternative universe in which the pandemic never happened

The government oversold the benefits of the vaccines so you'd go back to normal and do all the maskless stuff that stimulates the economy. Vaccines don't stop you from getting Covid/ Long Covid, and Covid is nothing like the flu. The only way to stay safe right now is to wear a mask (N95/KN95).

So many folks are sick again so I share this with love: you must rest. Rest won’t guarantee you don’t get long covid but it’s a huge mitigator. Even if you have an accute mild case. Even if you don’t feel it at all. Send this to your boss. Make your partner clean or use disposable dishes etc.

Everyone deserves access. Everyone deserves protection. Everyone deserves safety. Everyone deserves support. Everyone can help.
Square graphic containing a screenshot from Google Earth showing part of the map over eastern North America. A huge purple pin is centered over one of the actual map pins. The big pin contains a version of the logo where the initials in the mask have been replaced with a star. At the top of the image, in an area with no map pins, text begins, "In the absence of a community of care," the, below the large purple pin, the sentence ends saying, "it is our duty to create one." The WWMM logo appears off to the bottom right on the Atlantic shelf.
