we have examples of it happening every day, and in fact the polling suggests many millions of people will have had their voting behavior changed by next month. people aren't stubborn, they're simple, and longterm change depends on a consistent approach to re-align their beliefs w/voting behavior

the quoted post isn't really about voting, my whole thing is about how people's beliefs are almost entirely divorced from how they vote and that instead of saying "get to know the Republican next door" it should be "find effective ways to evoke cognitive dissonance in them"

the problem here is that people are making straw men of a straw man. I have had enough conversations with the J-6er down the street that I know if we went to lunch we'd agree on most things, because the average American absolutely hates the stuff Republicans do, WHEN THEY LEARN WHAT THAT STUFF IS.

I think you'd struggle to find someone who doesn't agree with you on that example, one of the problems with the whole concept described is that for the most part people are incapable of connecting their voting behavior with the laws enacted by those people they voted for.

this entire debate is a result of me providing the data directly from statcast and then people calling me a liar by providing an example of a hit that in the statcast finder counts as 106, not 105, because it rounds up from 105.5.

i never said anything about whether it would have been a home run or not. i simply used the tool on the front page of the statcast to look up all batted balls with that exit velocity and launch angle. and then printed it.
