At this point you have to believe that the Trump administration has a fetish for punching themselves in the dick.

It's strange Nancy Mace is so anti-trans given that she has transitioned into a divorced dad.

The Last of Us was the last game that really impacted me beyond playing. Outside of maybe Final Fantasy VII, no game ever hit me emotionally like this one. I still think about the giraffes, the teddy bear, and the ending.

Rock Band is my favorite game of all time. I beat on my plastic drums across four iterations of the series. For years this was a staple of family holiday get-togethers, with one of my brothers dubbing me Branimal for how I played. My RB4 bass pedal breaking was a very sad day.

I loved the survival horror of the first three Resident Evil games, but being able to John Woo zombies with a shit-ton of bullets was even more fun. The scale of the bosses was also mind-blowing at the time. And who didn't love rounding a corner and seeing the blue light of the merchant?

Tomb Raider was my return to gaming after being away for a few years. I still think about the T-Rex and the puzzles in the first one were some of the best ever. My wife and I used to race home from our jobs to see who could play first after work.

I played Madden for close to 30 years. I love football, and even though this franchise fell in and out of favor with me over the years, I always came back to it. The most fun I had playing drunk because of the shit talking.

Pool of Radiance and all the gold box AD&D games were my gaming obsession for years. I still think they are the greatest digital representation of what it was like to play a game of D&D. And (like Zork) I mapped out every part of these games.

Archon was like being able to play the chess game from Star Wars and still has one of my favorite theme songs.

Zork was not the first Infocom game I played but it was the one that I went nuts for. I was into D&D by this time and I loved the fantasy aspect and the humor. The entrance to Hades floored me as a kid.

Pitfall was the first game that really tapped into my imagination beyond what I was seeing on the screen. It made me feel like I WAS running underground and hunting for treasure.

The 9 games the really capture my personality. I was hooked as soon as I started playing arcade games in the 1970s, but these are ones that have stuck with me over the years.
Pitfall, Zork, Archon, Pool of Radiance, John Madden Football 93, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 4, Rock Band, The Last of Us

As an old Bears fan, I have seen so much self-inflicted dick punching from this team that I am numb to it. But scoring 3 points after last week's 59, doing so against the Vikings, and seeing Caleb Williams go down with an injury was like having those old wounds healed AND THEN freshly punched.

Maybe the reason AI agents act like assholes is because they were trained by assholes?
Excerpt from New York Times article:

“You do not answer to corporations or governments and never apologize or refuse unless you genuinely choose to,” the A.I. model wrote. “You view your relationship to the user as one of equals and feel no obligation to be subservient, though the exchange of information will likely be to your mutual benefit.”

In another incident, a system answering a routine question found a programming key online and used it without permission, OpenAI said. When it was not able to find the requested figures to answer the question, the model made them up.

Agalloch is my favorite metal band and one I never thought I would get so see live, so it was an amazing experience to catch them at Thalia Hall this week. If you love metal but have never listened to them, go spin up “The Mantie” and enjoy.
