I’m really proud about this MS. The first one of an Ecuadorian student enrolled in an Ecuadorian PhD program in an Ecology related field, my first one as a PhD advisor. Bryan found that niche overlap in hummingbird communities increased when more species were added to communities.

Excited to share that the second paper of my PhD is out in @currentbiology.bsky.social 🍈🦜🍒🐒🍊🐿️ We show that the functional diversity of seed-dispersal interactions in tropical forests takes circa 20 years to recover after deforestation. You can read it here: www.cell.com/current-biol...

Delayed recovery of seed-dispersal interactions after deforestation
Landim et al. show that seed-dispersal interactions require about two decades to functionally recover in tropical forests in Ecuador, but the recovery time of seed-dispersal functions is delayed in pa...

Happy to share this MS where we looked at the structure of indirect plant- plant interactions mediated by hummingbirds in the Andes. We explore how different floral traits influence those interactions. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

Floral Roles in Hummingbirds‐Mediated Indirect Plant Interactions in Tropical Andean Communities
Hummingbirds connect plants by moving pollen. Some flowers primarily donate, while, others primarily receive, and these shifting roles influence plant reproductive success depending on abundance and ...

Does any one can guide me to a MS doing a general evaluation of the establishment rate of trees used in reforestation practices in tropical areas? For years now NGOs, government agencies have been massively planting trees in degrated areas. But my notion is that most of those efforts have failed
