My kids missed a couple days of school because there were too few teachers in the building. But everything's a nail if you only have a hammer and he doubled down on it. He lost the race narrowly (thankfully).

A real pension crisis was happening and he decided the best bet was to label teachers as selfish and lazy because they wanted to protect the money that was promised to them by law. Escalated to the point where enough teachers called in sick to protest at the Capitol.

From memory, he was a clear favorite to beat Beshear. Incumbent in a red state who generally had good support. But in the home stretch of the campaign, he couldn't stop going after everybody, until he ended up at his Waterloo: attacking teachers.

In a lot of ways, this reminds me a bit of how Matt Bevin ended up losing his re-election campaign. Every time he opened his mouth, he made things worse...and he couldn't stop opening his mouth.

Thought they did make some nice adjustments to those inside channel runs we like, but its all downstream because we couldnt solve the kick it long to the tall guy conundrum or complete two passes in succession.

It’s true. I’m in a midsize city in KY and the high schools are having 120-130 kids each at tryouts. Most of them can play for real and we don’t have clubs who are any good at development yet.
