Arizona court says judge wrongly allowed AI-generated victim video buff.ly/UeHP2i4 I'm rather surprised that anybody thought it was okay to allow an AI generated video of a deceased victim as part of the sentencing considerations.

Playing around with voice chat in #Copilot, it seems pretty clear that I'm not going to really use it at my desk very often. I can see where it's helpful for times when I can't put my eyes on a screen or my fingers on a keyboard. But honestly, it's just too chatty and slow.

So Microsoft has made a small UX change with the way settings look in #Copilot. It's fine, but every time they change stuff like that It means that people like me have to go spend a whole bunch of time updating all of our training materials To reflect the new UX. It's not free

Bought something online and it's being delivered by some company called "UniUni" that I've never heard of. My package has now been "out for delivery" for almost 24 hours. Not impressed.

I'm not a big fan of their chicken strips, but our local Raising Canes does have a very clever drive thru #design where the "window" is also a door...enabling their people to walk orders right out to customers in their cars.

The Best Strategy to Protect Against Getting Hacked Is Surprisingly Old-School buff.ly/rgTpkJF The basics still matter, a lot. Don't use simple passwords to secure important systems. Use passkeys or multi-factor authentication whenever possible.

5 Books Every Leader Should Read Before Implementing Change buff.ly/D8lca8q I think this is a good list of helpful books, but I also recognize that it's unlikely we can persuade leaders to stop change until they've read 5 books. What's your favorite book on leadership or managing through change?

One takeaway from ChatGPT moving from custom GPTs to plugins, you lose saved starter prompts. There are certain prompts I run often with my custom GPTs; I could just click the button to launch them. Now I don't have those anymore & I have to find a way to save/access those prompts when I need them.

#Copilot Notebooks are supposed to constrain their responses to info in the uploaded references. However, they will also answer based on the AI's training data. If you need to mitigate that, add a custom instruction to the Notebook, telling it to ONLY to answer based on info in the references.

Self-Checkout Was Supposed to Cut Costs. Instead, It Created a Problem Retailers Didn't Anticipate buff.ly/uUY0fDU It's hard to believe they didn't anticipate that problem since it seems obviously to be one of the top three risks I would have identified were I considering the proposal.

One thing I'm impressed with with #Copilot is that it's doing a better job of correctly utilizing styles when it drafts content in #Word. That's something some of the other AIs like Claude or ChatGPT still seem to struggle with.

Because of some pain in my hand, I've been using dictation software more to do voice-to-text, in an effort to reduce my typing. I'm enjoying it, but I'm discovering that I'm becoming a little too dependent on it and have stopped being as careful with proofreading and editing.

I'm not especially interested in buying prospect lists anyway, but I'm certainly not going to do it from a sketchy, fly-by-night group using throwaway email accounts. If your business is real, get a domain.

AI detecting medical problems before they become a problem is only half the battle. Then we have to get the patient to actually take action to avoid the problems. If detecting the problem was sufficient, we wouldn't have any smokers.

How is Facebook's software this bad? You can't properly track long discussions. Invite links to private groups fail routinely. This isn't some vibe-coded, overnight thing. They've got teams of professional software developers. Is it really that hard?
