It’s International Polar Bear Day! 🐻‍❄️ Denning is the most vulnerable time in a polar bear’s life. The biggest threat to polar bear population sizes is cubs not surviving to adulthood, so every single cub is critically important. Learn how you can get involved: pbears.org/intlpolarbearday

US polar bear research will almost stop with these cuts. Some of the top polar bear scientists are with USGS. At a critical time in polar bear conservation, losing the long-term projects & research in Alaska would be devastating & ripple across the Arctic. www.science.org/content/arti...
