#drawings today, Mechanicus stuff. I was inspired by Pax Acrylica’s floating tech priest but wanted to go more mechanical and obviously hymenopteran/cicada looking; also I don’t really know how Skitarii look; and I was listening to The Hunt for Red October soundtrack while finishing this. #bskyart

Three Mechanicus personnel - a skitarius and two tech priests - in front of a stylized pillar full of cables, while mist billows across the floor.

The (imaginary) follow up album cover for (imaginary) stoner rock group, Bog Bong of the Robed Toad (a dumb joke about how monsters in AD&D’s Fiend Folio were predominantly toads or robed skeletons). #drawing #bskyart

A toad skeleton, holding a bong and clothed only in shreds of fabric, is on a sofa, reaching out desperately toward the last intact taco, among a batch of shed wrappers. Above is an album title in fake Roger Dean font, “Does Anyone Want Tacos?”

Listening to musical tastes which can be described as “what’re you tryin’ to do to my new record, man, I just bought it” convinces me I need to repost this classic album art.

A vague album cover for “Bog Bong of the Robed Toad,” featuring a skeletal toad draped in shreds of cloth holding a smoking bong, drawn in a facsimile of the late Russ Nicholson’s style, as a joke about stoner albums and more obscure, the AD&D Fiend Folio.

Rather than just be cranky about some of the same old stuff, here’s today’s #drawing #bskyart

A procession of evil cultists marches out of a cave, while an adventuring elf climbs the rock face above to get away. But has she been spotted?

Today’s #drawing - after all the smaller figures I really wanted to do a complete scene. #bskyart

As the adventurers’ ship closes with a githyanki astral skiff, a brave fighter type with a flaming sword leaps over the horrifying gulf of space to board the enemy! I plan to add a starfield digitally if it goes that far.

Tonight’s #drawing is more little monster manual styled art #bskyart

Three monsters; an otyugh (alien filth monster), a medusa, and a vampire (apparently I draw vamps relatively often )

QRP with your moon art - weirdly I have lots of werewolves under night skies and no werewolves under the full moon somehow. so have some vampires?

under a waxing moon, near forest and castle, a fully armored vampire on his ghoul steed rides down an unarmored, more monstrous, nosferatu type.

#drawings tonight, more trying to do monster manual looking stuff. #bskyart

Three monsters; an armored ogre, an uhhhh… eye-soar, basically a big floating sphere of multiple eyes with lotsa teeth, and a salamander (the fire elemental humanoid version)

Three monsters; an Asian styled dragon, a baobhan sith/banshee, and a gargoyle

#drawings started Sunday, about the last page and a half are all today but I worked on all of this today, smaller Monster Manual styled stuff. #bskyart

Gnoll, goblin spearmen from unarmored to heavy armor, medusa

Githyanki “gish” as a bbeg, orc barbarian, rakshasi, huecuva or something

Lich, ettercap, hobgoblin priest and soldier

It’s about to be a very rough day so here’s a couple of #drawings from last weekend when I didn’t feel posting art was appropriate. #bskyart

Two lion centaurs (wemics) race across the grassland. They carry Zulu styled shields and weapons.

In a forest a pack of wolves or werewolves corner their quarry, a vampiric death cleric, who slices a magical rift into the earth with a magical scythe - but will it actually save her?

#drawing this evening. There’s a new dwarf faction in Age of Sigmar which includes a magical war throne I didn’t really like outside of the vaguely dragon prowled ship design, so here’s my take on the mobile dwarf throne idea. These guys are way more old Ral Partha dwarves I think. #bskyart

More Norse inspired dwarves crew a steam driven walking ship with a wicker dragon prow inspired by the Gavle goat. The whole thing supports the throne of an armored, yelling dwarf king, and it’s gotta be only slightly faster than your cousin’s prize race-slug.

since I was listening to the soundtrack for THE BEST PART of Heavy Metal, again, you get a repost of art where the coloring at least was influenced by this part youtu.be/J-YDGprsvGc

In a forest somewhere, a necromancer calls upon VERY GREEN MAGIC to resurrect long dead warriors from some forgotten battle.

#drawing today, a couple of weeks ago I spotted a photo of a model with a farseer posed running on a titan’s outstretched arm, and wanted to try that, but as a more typical “wizard” pose. #bskyart

An Aeldari farseer stands high off the ground, held in the palm of a Phantom titan, robes fluttering as sie throws psychic energy. Behind the seer and titan a Vyper skimmer races through the sky.

Some #drawings this weekend, I felt okay drawing on the holiday but not posting. From Sunday. #bskyart

In the grim darkness of the far future, two Girl Gangers are exploring an old foundry or something when they come under fire from a mysterious sniper. The heavy weapons ganger moves to bring her squad support machine gun to bear.

Initially I was going to ink tonight’s #drawing before posting but y’know I’ve been so cranky about all the predictable stuff, why not break things up with art? #bskyart
