It’s not just for the talks tho, true you can watch the recordings which is great. But there’s a networking and socializing effect that’s great It’s not for everyone. I don’t go much these days outside of work, but i did a lot in the past 20 years. It’s definitely still going for many folks

The problem here is not the like vs not like. Or if it’s better to code today or if we’re more productive. it’s more about “AI is evil earth burning data copying evil, nazi ahh” attitude. just read the replies I got. Literally the same attitude that took me away from Twitter into Bsky.

I’ve passed half way between Toronto and SF and my AirPods Pro 3 have 63% battery. It looks like I won’t need the old set before I get to the hotel! I didn’t even bring the Max this time, definitely done with those.

That's it for nugettrends.com on Azure. All resources deleted. Paid last month's bill out of pocket, I could have a second set of AirPods Pro 3 instead. Migrated to GCP, thanks to Sentry! I'll get the scheduler running next. And revisit some indexes because it's rather slow now

Samsung sucks. I have their TV and had to get an ad blocker over the network. 6 years ago I got a Samsung S10+ in Austria and broke when I moved to Canada. I wanted to get the screen replaced and they refused to provide the service because “it was the European model”. I had to get it fixed in EU

I experienced this for 2.5 years on my first job. while working on helpdesk with admin rights on 5k computers I automated fixes across the network. but once I also made a branch of the bank incapable of conduct business over an hour. that was an instrumental lesson, so early in my career

What’s there to be fixed? Did anyone actually hit this while trying to use the app? If anything they should stop flipping AM and PM automatically, which I trip on all the time until I changed my settings to 24H clock.
