February book is ‘Miracles and Wonder’ by Elaine Pagels. The subject matter interests me, her writing is compelling, and, if that weren’t enough, the Paul Simon ‘Boy in the Bubble’ reference amused me.

This year I aspire to read at least one book each month. I’m off to an inauspicious start. Yesterday I grabbed the apparently most approachable book on my list then got started. Ruth Reichl is a good writer. I enjoyed every moment of The Paris Novel.

I’ve started using my accumulated fountain pens after a years long interlude of multicolor and often sparkly gel pens. The r/fountainpens folk (aka ‘penablers’) have been a bad influence and undermined my don’t buy stupid shit resolution. A Pelikan M805 marked down to $400 US is on its way. Sigh 🤷‍♀️
