Was excited to try Sheetz for the first time until I realized they had no allergen info, their website doesn’t have it, and the people there don’t know. This was after I had another PA restaurant last night that said my food had no allergens only for me to start eating it and I found out it did. 🥴

In other news, Laurel is doing good after her surgery! But I’m full of anxiety every day knowing they didn’t get all the cancer out and didn’t do the full surgery I requested….now I want her to live a happy remainder of her life instead of going through more (major) surgeries with rough recoveries.

They only did a lumpectomy. They say she did well and I’ll be picking her up at 4. I’ll have to what on the histopathology report to know next steps and possible future surgeries.

Dropped my girl off this morning for her surgery. She spent the night under the covers and directly on my stomach (which I was having terrible pains in). This little girl is always there for me. Send her all the good vibes for a successful surgery, quick recovery, and a good prognosis! 🤞💛

Laurel's surgery is tomorrow. I pushed for a unilateral mammary chain removal (if the vet is comfortable doing it)...idk if I'm being delusional. I don't want to put her through a rougher recovery but I want to believe I caught it in time. It’s really the only way to give her fighting chance.

This girl has slept not just with me, but on me, nearly every night for the last decade in Buffalo, NYC, & Chicago. She's been next to me through so much. Thought runners saying it gives you energy was a lie from big running (all cardio I’ve done like biking, spin, etc. DRAIN me) but I’m l barely wanting to touch my coffee so that fun (but I still want the bittery goodness).

Did my first ever “run” today (walking with lil bursts of running but I live on hills so it’s more challenging than it sounds lol)…I think I discovered what I thought was shoulder pain might be a lung problem. Otherwise enjoyed myself & felt minimally embarrassed. My ankles, however, are unhappy.

I love and hate my long hair. I’m still contemplating cutting it…but also don’t want to massively regret it and grow it out again. 😫

I am getting sick and tired of the left falling for the same conspiratorial bullshit they chastise the right for. Open the schools! Open the libraries! We are in an information literacy crisis!

I had a dream. I cut all my hair off last night on accident and I cried and now I’m thinking about cutting all my hair off on purpose. Well, into a cute mullet situation not Sinéad O’Connor situation.

I bought some running shoes…with my dog’s sudden passing I’m finding myself outside less and less. I want to continue take advantage of where I live…but we’ll see how my fat, asthmatic ass does with that. Never going to be a 5k girlie; I just want to run free through nature.

I’m restarting work on a (non-fiction) book I’ve had outlined for years but I’m researching similar books to make sure I’m not completely unoriginal and it’s…daunting. Especially because I cannot stand this one super popular author/influencer in the space lol. Maybe it’s because we’re a lot alike. 🥴

Nothing like a little smoothing treatment to feel like a totally different person. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE my natural little spiral curls but being able to wear a style for like…a week is so nice.
