A study made by Stanford presented by @yegordb.bsky.social showed that increase in developer speed using AI is true, but not as much as the companies that sell the product make it out to be. This number aligns a lot more with my own experience. 📼 www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbDD...
A chart illustrating the productivity increases in software engineering from AI use, comparing greenfield and brownfield projects. It shows that greenfield projects gain 35-40% on simple tasks and 10-15% on complex asks, while brownfield projects see increases of 15-20% on simple tasks and 0-10% on complex tasks. The chart is divided into quadrants based on task complexity (high vs. low) and project maturity (greenfield vs. brownfield).

Connected with 100 awesome Bsky users! 🥳 I'm super excited to meet all of you some old and other's new! I'm switching more and more from X to Bsky mainly because I love that I own my data. Right now, it's hosted on Bsky, but I can easily move it to my own database whenever I want. ❤️ Open web ❤️

Three boxed editions of Baldur's Gate ❤️ #baldursgate
Three boxed editions of Baldur's Gate video games are displayed on a black desk mat. From left to right: the original Baldur's Gate (in a thick, brown box labeled 'Contains 5 CDs'), Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn (with a textured, dark blue cover and a yellow price sticker), and Baldur's Gate III (modern packaging with a red Mind Flayer emblem and Steam branding). Above them are a mechanical keyboard, a vertical gaming mouse, and an Xbox controller. A Nintendo Switch game case is partially visible in the top-left corner.

🤖 Not that I would want a AI-chatbot inside the browser, but I am very thankful atleast they would let me pick what service I would like. More companies would adopt this strategy if they where consumer first. Thanks @firefox.com

Those keyframe icons are nearly impossible to click. I just started and already keep missing them by a pixel. Please, Godot, make them proper buttons! #godot #gamedev

If you've ever wondered what 1,200,000 yellow ducks moving in perfect unison with MultiMeshInstance2D looks like. #Godot

Did the same pulsating rectangle test in Godot and got the same FPS as my naive JS + Canvas2D approach. So, time to optimize! First, I'll try batch rendering and direct movement instead of physics. If that’s not enough, I’ll take it up a notch with some multi-threaded box moving. Overkill? 😅 #godot

I can't imagine needing more than 1,000 sprites at any given time for my pixel art game, and even 144 FPS feels like overkill. #gamedev #indiedev

A 1000 Ducks – Not sure what's more disturbing: the frame drops or the pixel chaos… But hey, it's progress! 🦆🎮🚀 #gamedev #indiedev

Just want to share - this is the book my father had that was on his working desk, it's Swedish "My first BASIC program" this sparked my interest for coding in general and the possibility of creating worlds.
A book named "My first BASIC program" with a cover of a winding road made out of keycaps, leading to a castle in the distance.

As this is my first post on Blue Sky thought it would be fitting to post the pixel art duck that got me started in to game development as a hobby. This is "Duck" ❤️ a pixel art duck that is the main protagonist in my first game in development currently called "Project Duck". #pixelart #gamedev
