Because I was already at the Metro pop up shop in DC and there was zero line at the Mall’s security check points, husband and I slipped into the Great American State Fair. The stories are true — for the size of the space, it was nearly empty at 3 pm on the Saturday before a major holiday.

Is it worth it to visit the WMATA pop up shop today? Is all the 50th and 250th metro merch picked over?

I’m finally watching and feeling ok enough to watch BTS’ Yet to Come performances from 2022. I don’t know what they knew back then or how much was already planned, but I want to believe they knew then that ARIRANG was the best that was yet to come.

I have a theory that ARIRANG has been a part of #BTS' long-term plan from the get-go. In my latest article, I discuss the relevance of the album title with an ethnomusicologist, as well as Korean elders who lived through trauma and found comfort in the folk song song.👇

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
