Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is now four years old. Since release, Bandai Namco have sustained the Klonoa brand with merchandise, appearances in other games and continued social media presence. Next year is the series’ 30th anniversary, will it finally be time for a new game?

SEGA clearly see NiGHTS as a valuable legacy character, I just hope they take them beyond crossovers… If a new game isn’t in the cards, at least make their others officially accessible, give people a point to jump to after enjoying the guest appearances, seize this opportunity.

Starting off the new year by huffing hopium for the next I think if anything with Klonoa has been in the works, it will coincide with the 30th anniversary in 2027, much like Phantasy Reverie did for the 25th in 2022 Hoping we at least see some trademark movement later this year

BroskiBae @broskibae.bsky.social · 30/12/2025

I’m glad new people can get a taste of just how fun and lively NiGHTS is as a character, but their revered game isn’t even officially accessible. NiGHTS into Dreams is one of Sonic Team’s most soulful and unique projects, next year is its 30th anniversary, at least port it over.

I JUST missed out on top 100, but I want it to be known that I STILL used up ALL of my weekend for this silly purple jester… This was as far as I could go whilst maintaining 6 hours of sleep and breaks for food + hygiene, I tried to get there healthily, but NiGHTS is a rascal…

My final ranking in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds’ NiGHTS Festival (117).

It's the most wonderful time of the year, for the most wonderful game of all time. #NiGHTS #sonicteam #sega #segasaturn #nightsintodreams #illustration #fanart #gameart

An illustration of the title character from NiGHTS into dreams... the Sega Saturn game features the flying jester character. During the holidays his costume turns from purple to red and white in honor of the Christmas color overlay. In this drawing NiGHTS is twirling over a sign of the game. Gold sparkles are falling from his hands.

BroskiBae @broskibae.bsky.social · 16/11/2025

there’s an actual chance the NiGHTS festival in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds starts on Christmas Day festivals have historically begun on Thursdays the Thursday after round 1 of the legend competition ends is on the 25th so, surely they’d owe a Christmas NiGHTS skin at that point?

Title screen for iconic holiday-themed demo of ‘NiGHTS into Dreams…’ known as ‘Christmas NiGHTS into Dreams…’ displaying NiGHTS in their red/white palette swapped outfit with white pom-poms protruding from the tips of their horns (akin to Santa Clause’s hat).

BroskiBae @broskibae.bsky.social · 13/11/2025

galaxy-brain idea for how we can rep Reala in CrossWorlds along with the sibling dynamic they have with NiGHTS… we just change the Dream Sleeper’s colours to Reala’s and pretend it’s them using their shapeshifting to become a board which their annoying sibling can then stand on

NiGHTS’ sibling and arch-rival, Reala, an evil parallel of the former’s design.

The Dream Sleeper, NiGHTS’ Extreme Gear of choice in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, it is heavily themed around their aesthetic and colour scheme.

reflecting on last night, I actually got a headache from how excited I was lol this is NiGHTS’ first playable appearance since 2012 and their first actual appearance since 2013 it hit similarly to the night of Klonoa’s return for me, a small fandom celebrating a dreamy comeback

considering CrossWorlds seems to have skins, it’d be neat if NiGHTS’ OG fit was included alongside the JoD one~

NiGHTS’ current design, originating from NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.

NiGHTS’ first design, missing gloves which would be added in their current one and donning a plain purple neck ruffle which would subsequently get replaced with one more detailed and regal, amongst other things.

watching new panty & stocking and it’s crazy how much it feels like the show hasn’t even been dormant for 15 years, just picks up right where it left off with the same animation and crass and everything it still feels surreal to watch new content, but it’s exactly how I remember

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is now 3 years old Gonna say it again, but I think 2027 for the 30th anniversary will be when we’ll see what’s next (if there actually has been any movement in the background) Klonoa has become a reliable ‘B’ property which Namco should upkeep imo
