I’d join a cult and live in a commune off-grid. But I’m afraid I just don’t have the energy for all the group sex.

Ontario is still writing its rules for datacentres. But Ford's pitchdeck for foreign investors explicitly markets Hamilton’s waterfront for deregulated AI datacentre development, including "sovereign" AI opportunities." Sovereign AI. Built for foreign investors. With no rules. #HamOnt
"Ontario — Your investment partner," reads the title of an investment prospectus circulated by the Ontario government at Mark Carney's private investment summit of 200 foreign CEOsrelevant section: "The Steelport site is undergoing
master planning following M5 Industrial zoning.
Commercial opportunities are expected
to be announced in Q4 2026, with Phase 1
construction anticipated to commence in 2027."

Not sorry I spent the year before school being fired for an AI Chat bot (their stock tanked) then waiting for my parent to get a joint replacement working gig jobs during the tariff crisis. Such a trust fund baby. From a SUB-REDDIT MODERATOR, the worst people online.

I got called out for my "trust fund behaviour" and "poor planning" because I complained that OSAP is 3 weeks late on /r/McMaster. Students with middle class parents who won't let them live on campus are the most resentful, hateful little shits. None of the poor students on grants act so haughty.

There's so much talk in their reports and media coverage about The Greenbelt as some sort of trade or climate resiliency ASSET. But when and for who? They claim 30% local food consumption in Ontario by 2032. But most greenbelt tourism is about the outdoors, wine tastings and fine dining.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
The Ontario Greenbelt is scam by the grocery oligarchs, meat processors and rural gentry to keep land values and housing costs out of reach. Here's some $85/lb "greenbelt" beef jerky. This has nothing to do with feeding the poor or hungry. It's just red-lining www.greenbeltfoods.com/products/bee...

Don't build any townhouses near the airport and the amazon depot up the street from car dealership strode hell. Everyone should drive across town to the airport from a house made before 1998. Every townhouse built in Hamilton puts a charcuterie board in Toronto at risk of fewer cute local treats.
000
Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
For real people rn are pissed that "DOUG FERD" wants 1600 hectares directly across from the hamilton airport, amazon facility and south bus depot because it's in "THE GREEN BELT" Not-Toronto so it qualifies as threatening their LOCAL little treats. Not kneecapping Hamilton's tax earnings. Fuck.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
I'm so bored of being in "I meant to do nothing because my standards are too high" Hamilton and then get nothing. It's such a loser mentality, as a culture. We need to achieve something. The wealthy are utilizing that to keep you poor and homeless. Liberals, smarten up. lol
000
Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
It's also fiscally and strategic suicide for tax stressed municipalities in Ontario, which is all of them. We can build transit oriented suburbs for wealthy new residents, grow the tax base and then fix our heritage buildings and in-fill. We need their money. Brown site remediation is expensive.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
The hysterics of it are amazing because much nicer resort towns in different provinces build all of these things so newcomers, and young families alike have good and safe homes. Like get the fuck over yourself, Ancaster, Ontario. You're no Whistler, you're not even Canmore, girl.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
It's all "Abundance" from liberals in Ontario until you want to build a senior's rental low-rise, grocery store, townhouses with lane-way housing and legal accessible in-law suites. Then you're threatening that cute AirBnb in Uxbridge they went to and hate animals, nature and their expensive treats.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
The smug failure of Canadian liberalism to rise to the occasion of this addiction and homelessness crisis, to fall for the climate change causing pork industry and the literal national oligarchs... for what? Their cute little farm treats. $25 local honey, $80 VQA Ice Wine, $25 pickles. Sickos.
010
Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
Canadian leftists and liberals alike need to detach from the Greenbelt sacrosanctity from Wynne, McGinty and the oligarchs. Housing first means housing first. Not land owners and industrial pork concerns giving out grants to students then keeping costs lower for their pig farms first then housing.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
This is environmental-washed land grabbing from the already land having colonists. Green-lining is the new red-lining, according to the oligarchs. They've somehow captured land use discourse in Ontario in ways that are so anti-poor and anti-homeless from otherwise sympathetic people. It's absurd.
100
Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
The absurd de-growth, ad hoc pseudo-anarchistic tax base talk from the rural NIMBY set of liberals is true economic bull crap. We need to never build single family homes so everyone cal live in a 1bdrm market rate Airbnb condo forever. And our rural betters can save nature. Autocratic sophistry!
100
Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
Canadian leftists need to leave behind the corrupt frankly English (as in not Scottish or Irish) values of land austerity and green washing to keep newcomers, the poor and, not-wealthy from enjoying life in rural Ontario.
100
Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
Those opposed to colonial rural land austerity for the landed aristocracy are doing crimes against the environment. I have a list of Greenbelt(tm) produced food and produce. Many products cost $20 or more. Organic local honey, certified local wine, $25 Marty's Pickles. The rhetoric of food security.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
They exchange lower land costs for their pork farmers and processing plants, industrial agriculture and regional monopolies in exchange for rural amnesty in the housing crisis. No seniors rentals near the vineyards, mansions and nature preserves of the wealthy elite.

Bro Rodeo @brorodeo.bsky.social · 19/08/2026
Ontario liberals (lowercase) never want to talk about The Greenbelt being a foundation funded by the literal grocery store billionaire family, Canada's most valuable bank, the transnational pork processing family heirs and a large list of very wealth elite landowners.

bloomberg has a fun article today arguing that the Cybertruck is the biggest flop in automotive history. it includes this glorious graph.
A graph showing how the edsel and Cybertruck both performed based on their sales target and actual year one and year two sales. The edsel was expected to sell 200k units in its first year. It sold slightly over 50k, and less than 50k the next year

The Cybertruck had a sales.target of 250k in its first year. They sold around 40k, the next year they sold about half as many.
