On a nearly empty Nishitetsu bus from Fukuoka to the farm in Karatsu, Saga. The driver, stopped at a red light, makes his way back to the middle of the bus to ask me, in English, where I'm going. Sadly, "Yokotashimohigashi' doesn't spring off my tongue, so I just "hai" when he says, "Karatsu?"
