Looks like our Summer Vacation is over. #TyTyTuesday

"Got everything?" Bee looks back over her shoulder at Tyana, who is carrying a large sack conspicuously labeled "Beach Junk". TyTy shoots a quick thumbs up and an "Aye!" as Bee begins opening the door to their home. "Alright, then..." Bee says as the door swings open. "We're home!"

Inside, Bee is met with an unusual sight. Ryudo, normally a paragon of stoicism, is lounging on the couch with a mountain of pizza boxes and an open bottle of sake, watching Umamusume on the big screen TV. The color from Bee's face drains in confusion as they make eye contact...

Sometimes I still think back on the day she really started to take shape as a character and how far she's come since. This dumb little cat is so important to me

I may end up following suit. I haven't been directly hit by any of these policies yet, but I'm not keen on sticking around until they do either

In light of Teenah's theme being released, I figured it would be fun to share art from her development for Rivals of Aether Workshop! Commentary in Alt Text. (1/3) #Talemon #RivalsofAether

The sketch that started it all. Teenah's initial design and style was meant to pull from a small pool of martial arts, with a focus on Muy Thai. She also started out more grey than blue, which is a holdover from her original incarnation (which is significantly older). At this point her lore hadn't been established, so the focus was to make something readable on a small scale.

Teenah's first pass at a gameplay concept was a stationary orb of electrical energy that could be placed and then interacted with in different ways. Mostly, attacking it would send a pulse of energy in the same direction, extending her attack range with proper spacing. However, this concept felt a little too plain even in early stages of development, and would quickly develop,

The second pass at Teenah's orb mechanic gave it many more tools, from position manipulation and a hackeysack-style juggle system to unique interactions with other specials. It sounded fun on paper, but ended up being incredibly difficult to use effectively in practice. Teenah's development stalled for about a year trying to iron out the kinks..

Teenah's first Character Portrait for RoA Workshop. At this point you can see the simplification of her design even further, sharply contrasted by an over-rendered orb. I still like the overall pose and expression, but this would be the last piece of Teenah drawn in her V1 design.

Two sketches. The larger one is a simple waist-up of TyTy in her winter sport gear, smiling waving to someone off-screen. The smaller sketch shows TyTy pointing in excited awe into the space behind her, where a very distant Bee is helplessly launching into the air on skis. Bee's expression of panic is made visible thanks to a picture-in-picture of her screaming face

some action shots of TyTy on her snowboard, one cutting her board into the snow for a deep turn and the other doing a dang backflip

Lex's sleeptouch is much more effective when she works smarter, not harder

Panel 1: On the left, Tyana sits at an arm wrestling table, extending a challenge to Lex on the right, who is quietly removing a glove from her hand with an annoyed expression.
Panel 2: The two lock hands and the tension in the air rises as they prepare to arm wrestle. However...
Panel 3: Lex's special ability, activated by direct contact, puts Tyana to sleep and allows Lex to easily take the win. In the background, faintly, an image explaining her skill can be seen:
"Type Ability: Torpidity
User is unable to sleep. Exhaustion is stockpiled in the body, and transferred to the target with a single touch."

Guess they call it Mewing for a reason. #TyTyTuesday

Anonymous Question: "Yo, TyTy! How strong is your chin?"

Tyana stands unfazed as a fist suddenly comes barreling toward her. At the last minute, she activates Mog Mode™, using the ancient mewing arts to transform her jawline into an impenetrable wall of bone. The punch is stopped dead in its tracks. Somewhere, in the distance, a vine boom echoes..
