"Got everything?" Bee looks back over her shoulder at Tyana, who is carrying a large sack conspicuously labeled "Beach Junk". TyTy shoots a quick thumbs up and an "Aye!" as Bee begins opening the door to their home. "Alright, then..." Bee says as the door swings open. "We're home!"

Inside, Bee is met with an unusual sight. Ryudo, normally a paragon of stoicism, is lounging on the couch with a mountain of pizza boxes and an open bottle of sake, watching Umamusume on the big screen TV. The color from Bee's face drains in confusion as they make eye contact...

In light of Teenah's theme being released, I figured it would be fun to share art from her development for Rivals of Aether Workshop! Commentary in Alt Text. (1/3) #Talemon #RivalsofAether

The sketch that started it all. Teenah's initial design and style was meant to pull from a small pool of martial arts, with a focus on Muy Thai. She also started out more grey than blue, which is a holdover from her original incarnation (which is significantly older). At this point her lore hadn't been established, so the focus was to make something readable on a small scale.

Teenah's first pass at a gameplay concept was a stationary orb of electrical energy that could be placed and then interacted with in different ways. Mostly, attacking it would send a pulse of energy in the same direction, extending her attack range with proper spacing. However, this concept felt a little too plain even in early stages of development, and would quickly develop,

The second pass at Teenah's orb mechanic gave it many more tools, from position manipulation and a hackeysack-style juggle system to unique interactions with other specials. It sounded fun on paper, but ended up being incredibly difficult to use effectively in practice. Teenah's development stalled for about a year trying to iron out the kinks..

Teenah's first Character Portrait for RoA Workshop. At this point you can see the simplification of her design even further, sharply contrasted by an over-rendered orb. I still like the overall pose and expression, but this would be the last piece of Teenah drawn in her V1 design.

Teenah continues her training as TyTy provides support. In the top drawing, TyTy tosses up boxing mitts as Teenah hits them with a powerful THWACK. In the lower drawing, Teenah practices her forms in an outdoor setting. TyTy sits on a nearby rock, eating a sandwich.

In a special Secret Training operation, the girls assemble a model robot.

"Jeez, these pieces are so small," TyTy grumbles as she struggles to apply pieces with a small pair of tweezers.

Teenah studies the instructions carefully before pointing at the piece TyTy is applying. "Hold on," she interjects, "That's one of the option parts."

TyTy is visibly sweating from the stress. "H-how can you even tell?!"
