ah ha! exactly! its planning is tied to everything EXCEPT whether Iran has nukes or not. it’s almost like the war was started for political strategy.

aw yeah - Kershaw was really good and so was Waino, Ethier homered off him though. Belliard and Loretta drove in the other runs and Belisario combined with Broxton and Sherrill to lock it down. amazingly, none of the 2B hit second: Belliard, Loretta, and O-Dawg. Kemp hit second behind Furcal.

I’ll say- just like that, Sandy gets a couple saves in place of his bullpen day and now we get aces doing it on their throw days in the playoffs

Posting bullshit gets everyone talking about it

stuff feels tricky because 106 is pretty good but we’ve used wRC+ for a long time and 106 is basically average. The range on stuff is way tighter than wRC+ and it feels deceptive.

BrocNessMonster @brocnessmonster.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Isn’t he coming off a career high in pitches from his last start?

it’s too bad it turned into hate mail, obviously. and I don’t mind she wanted to share her side of the story. it’s too bad it turned ugly enough where she had to take it personally.

BrocNessMonster @brocnessmonster.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

the actual story of the viral Giants family from the game the other night wasn’t important; most of us knew that we don’t actually what their family dynamic is like. what’s important was the amount of us that resonated with the made up story. that’s telling, and that was the ugly part. not them.

BrocNessMonster @brocnessmonster.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

@rudygamble.bsky.social reviewing the player rater. I am surprised Nick Martinez is SP23 with 15 wins, 6th in MLB in both ERA and WHIP… 108 Ks is outside the top-50 and that hurts, I know, but seems like SP23 is low.

does he get the regular pay for being on the 40 man? or doesn’t his pay go down a ton when they option him down for a week or whatever?

The guy in the bottom left isn’t good at defense or baserunning either, curious choice for $43M/yr contract.

I just moved and was reminded I still have a Laroche auto ball. I actually have Kemp, Ethier, Broxton, Kersh, and Billingsley.

031

BrocNessMonster @brocnessmonster.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

we wanted to leave in the 7th but we’re too drunk. then I heckled the shit outta Hoffman for not actually signing with Cleveland in the previous offseason. then Jon Adkins paved the way for magic. and for a Nomar walkoff. that’s the part everyone forgets, they still nearly lost.

000

BrocNessMonster @brocnessmonster.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

and now that I’ve been reminiscing, this was about the time I found MSTI from a link on a MLBTR post

000

BrocNessMonster @brocnessmonster.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

What I remember best was, as the only real Dodgers fan of the group, was knowing Hoffman was pretty much on his way to Cleveland that offseason before he suddenly resigned. So I was taunting him for it the whole 8th and 9th innings.

100

BrocNessMonster @brocnessmonster.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I remember that one well. My buddy had just moved back from New Zealand and we had a group of five of us. We got a little too drunk and we’d have left in the 7th when it looked to be over, but we stayed to drink waters and see who sobered up fast enough. Lo and behold… And then the Nomar walk off!

yeah I do recall seeing 95mph from an interesting arm angle, so that makes sense that he’d fallen off at 91-93

I think it was Ferris that I saw pitch in spring last year for the big club, and he looked awesome. Was he just having a down year or was he previously just not much of a prospect?
