iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Now you are just being foolish. There is no such thing as no microphones around anymore. Everyone, including reporters, carries a phone with recording capabilities. I hear your point though. You have more access to the players than i do. Agreed.

100

You're not paying attention and not listening to how the players speak. I am.

100

Maybe not. The Mariners organization loves the Canadian fans and the oodles of money we spend. We always have been treated like royalty at their park and everywhere in the city.

020

I understand in this case. It's an elimination game. They didn't want to watch the Jays celebrate on their field.

I give the gal her flowers. She did a great job today.

000

All those Hoffman haters hiding now?

000

You've missed my point. There are many practicing Christians on the team and they might use jock talk swears but they don't consider them offensive as religious swears. I was raised to never use the Lord's name "in vain" as in anger, shock or irreverently. please dont say im wrong. Its my religion.

It's the 3rd of the Ten Commandments for Christians. One must not use the Lord's name as a curse nor as a trivial expression. Saying Jesus or OMG breaks the commandment but dropping CS's and MF's doesn't.

They swear but they never take the Lord's name in vain. The swear words are just jock talk. Not hurtful or disrespectful.

They just don't like him. They expect to win the WS every year and if they don't it's his fault. That the fan base routinely boos its own players says it all.

But he took it like a man.

So true. Many organizations (mine included) also forbid giving references for past employees. They only confirm position, start and end dates. Now i give out my personal email and phone # to give references. I believe everyone deserves constructive feedback. That's how we grow professionally.

I bought mine for corporate presentations over a decade ago and only paid $15 for it. Still working great and my only regret is teaching the grandkids how to use it. Now i have to listen to the very crisp and loud sounds of Kpop.

I always gave feedback. Then HR rules changed. I was instructed never to give feedback when a candidate was not selected. I was told it is a potential liability if a candidate claims discrimination. If our policy is to never give feedback then the candidate cannot claim something was said.

Just like cars, baseball has migrated to different fuel. Before, announcers would say pitchers threw *gas*. Now they say they're *electric*.

Thank you for calling it the fair pole.

Good ball player. Good human being. Love the shirt. Love the guy.

000

Was what he said wrong or was he wrong to say it? I think he is right. And right. Maybe it was an "oops did i say that out loud?" thought but i was watching that game and thought the same thing at the time when he said it.

000

If i have to hear her say "take us through what you were thinking" one more time im going to mute her as soon as i see her on the screen forever. I can tolerate her but would rather watch Arden Zwelling. He is much more journalistic and really asks interesting questions.

000

Why didnt they pinch run for Castellanos?

100

You inspired me! I'm gonna go back to doing that. It annoys my kids to no end. But why stop annoying them now? Maybe they miss my annoying daily calls.

130

But why? Serious question. BA's lower than ever makes sense if pitches are faster but why do more pitchers throw harder now?

I also spoke with my Mum daily. And talk to her picture daily now. Times change. My kids text me occasionally, call when they need something. They assume I'm doing fine. I pretend I'm fine. It works. We all have our own laptop and smart phone now. My Mum and I had neither. That's what changed.

No one ever talks about how we all spent way too much money on POGs in the 90s and then in the end threw them away so we wouldn't have to ever look at them again

At our local elementary school in west Edmonton we have a book sharing box. People have started sharing canned foods and dry goods too. Because we are a community that cares for each other.

When ABS comes in I also want the ump cam. Then before the ABS decision, i want to see what the ump saw from their perspective when they made the call.

When did it become okay to use vulgar language and swearing as part of normal conversation on a public transit train filled with people including preteens? Why do we all have to listen to that? #stupidentitledwhiteguys

Dan and Buck are my favourite duo broadcasting MLB this season. Always a pleasure to listen to.

Got the family watching the game with me.

BlueJays ALDS game on TV screen. Lego love birds, star trek Gorn, count chocula funko, two karate apes.

Just what the fanbase ordered. Vladdy being Vladdy. On both sides of the ball.

Great photo of a great pitcher.

#LightsUpLetsGo #BlueJays #LGBJ Waited years for this game. Really pleased to see Russ Martin throw the first pitch. Good juju.

Stop changing the national anthem. Sing the proper notes.

Sometimes it's not a simple choice. Some of us have family in the US.
