Hula Hoops Smoky Bacon: Yes, smoky bacon, but the piggy taste gets a little lost in the dense, starchy potato flavour of the Hula Hoop. As ever, a phenomenal, sharp crack of a crunch. Rating: 7.2

Marks & Spencer Lamb Kofta: These crisps are a rich feast of aromatic ground spices with a hint of chilli to add a dry, peppery heat. The lamb's restricted to a mere cameo in the background, but the delicious spices are impossible to ignore. Rating: 8.0

Tesco Basil & Pecorino Pesto: First, there's the rich punch of pecorino; bold, yet creamy as it bombards the taste buds. Then the basil floats in, brushing the palate clean and preparing you for the next mouthful. Shamefully irresistible. Rating: 8.5

Sainsbury's Sea Salt & Suffolk Cider Vinegar: Firstly, the potatoes are delicious, all earthy and rich - as if they've lived their life like a king. Secondly, the cider vinegar bangs with a tarte, fruity, lip-puckering tingle which somehow swerves an acidic burn. Rating: 8.4

Aldi Kentucky Smoked BBQ: Aldi smash it out the park again with crisps that taste like a Louisville family gathering in a heatwave. Bourbon smoke curls through the sweet and fruity barbecue sauce notes to send your tastebuds into overdrive. Mouth-watering. Rating: 8.4

The Real McCoy's Chip Shop Curry Sauce: These crisps won’t whisk you away to a park bench with curry-dipped chips, but there’s a polite tingle of heat and a shy spice which keep the spuds in agreeable company. Rating: 7.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 17/05/2025
Seabrook Chicken Curry: Now this is a proper curry crisp: bold, complex, and deeply spiced - each crunch a slow delight of heat and roasted depth. A delicious celebration of curry. And even better with a drop of mango chutney. Rating: 8.6

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 15/05/2025
Seabrook Fish & Chips: These crisps deliver a rich, golden batter crunch and are resolutely British. Gloriously fried, they're all fluffy potato with the slightest hint of cod, like a wink from a trawler. Rating: 8.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 27/04/2025
Seabrook Farmhouse Cheddar & Chutney: A cheddar fog rolls in, dense and delicious, snuggling into sweet, tangy chutney and all spooned onto a crunchy spud. These deserve to be part of the permanent range. Rating: 8.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 14/04/2025
Two Farmers Woodland Mushroom and Wild Garlic: Not your average flavour, this is British woodlands in a biodegradable packet. Earthy, brazen mushrooms take the lead, while the wild garlic lends a pleasant, herby accent to the delicious potatoes. Rating: 8.0

Taylors Pickled Onion: Earthy, skin-on potatoes come together with sweet, sugary pickled onions to conjure up a pleasing tang. Your breath won't be fresh, but you simply won't care. The extra thick cut only enhances the experience. Rating: 8.2

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 02/04/2025
Marks & Spencer Four Cheese & Onion: Wave after wave of creamy cheese, all indulgent and smooth, sweeps through the mouth before a sly helping of onion cuts in without disrupting the scene. The well engineered furrows, meanwhile, deliver a mighty crunch. Rating: 8.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 31/03/2025
Slabs Beef Roast with English Mustard: Three times thicker than your average crisp, they crunch like no other. Then there's the beef: Smoky, rich, and grass-fed decadence. A peppery mustard kick clinches it. The nearest you'll get to Brannigans. Rating: 9.0

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 27/03/2025
Marks & Spencer Salt & Double Vinegar: Twice the vinegar, twice the thrill? Not quite. The clash of tangs lunges from zesty jab to gentle tickle, a bit unhinged. But the crunch is a symphony and the potatoes delightfully creamy. Rating: 7.3

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 23/03/2025
Taste of Game Smoked Pheasant & Wild Mushroom: An intoxicating symphony of flavour - the tangy, gamey pheasant chasing after earthy mushrooms with the complexity of smoked salt in the background. And the potatoes? Delicious. Rating: 9.1

Aldi Ridged Thai Sweet Chicken: A triumph of imitation, these crisps gleefully flaunt their sweet, fruity charm and take your tastebuds on a passport-free adventure. You'll resent the packet for ending. Rating: 8.4

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 16/03/2025
Brown Bag Aberdeen Angus Beef & Onion: This is British beef in all its glory: sweet, succulent and indecently delicious. Tucked into a fragrant, herby embrace with a crunch that sings, these crisps are a bagful of brilliance. Rating: 8.6

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 09/03/2025
Aldi Ridged Bacon Sizzler: Plagiarism's lazy, but when it tastes this good, who's complaining? Rich plumes of sweet and smoky pork indulgence curl around the mouth while the addictive crunch keeps you munching. Rating: 7.8

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 01/03/2025
Simply Roasted Black Truffle: The truffle swagger hits fast, but it vanishes equally quickly without trace. The spuds are left gasping for relevance, but they're deprived of fat and lack any depth of flavour - they're dry too. Healthy, but mundane. You won't be back. Rating: 6.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 26/02/2025
Sainsbury's Cheese & Onion: They won't redefine snacking, but they're a dependable take on a classic. Thick enough to crunch respectably, they tick the necessary boxes - sweet, cheesy and tangy - without too much imagination. Rating: 6.7

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 16/02/2025
Savoursmiths Desert Salt & Vinegar: Desert Salt - now there's a novelty of a marketing trick. The vinergar bites, sharp but pleasant - not the full flamenco on the tongue, just a gentle shuffle. The salt, sundried and worldly, compliments it well. A crisp with poise. Rating: 8.3

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 15/02/2025
Aldi Corn on the Cob: Another dose of madness condensed into crisp form by the unhinged minds at Aldi. The fresh, vibrant corn flavour pops with aplomb, before a sumptuous wave of butter glides across the tongue, all elegance and excess. Superb stuff. Rating: 9.0

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 10/02/2025
Tyrrell's Roasted Chicken & Sage: Tyrrell's has somehow bottled the very soul of Sunday lunch - golden roast chicken with a generous helping of sage - into a crisp. After one bite, you’ll be checking the oven, convinced there’s a bird roasting somewhere. Rating: 8.2

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 08/02/2025
Taste of Game Wild Duck & Plum Sauce: One of life's most crunchiest mysteries is why these aren't available in every shop. Flavours of rich, fatty duck mingle with sweet, deep plum notes before a fragrant burst of spice seals the deal. Gorgeous beyond belief. Rating: 9.3

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 08/02/2025
Bullseye Salt 'n' Vinegar: It's a mystery how these crisps even exist, but I'm glad they do. Intensely acidic, but with a generous helping of buttery potatoes and a mighty crunch, these are worth more than your bus fare home. However, best enjoyed in small batches. Rating: 7.8

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 07/02/2025
Snaktastic Cheese & Onion: A weak tribute to Walker's lunchbox classic, these crisps fail to deceive. The cheese is kind of sharp, the onion vaguely tangy but they crumble - quite literally - with a flimsy, ghost-like crunch. Admittedly, they're cheap. Rating: 6.5

Fairfields Adnams Ghost Ship: Beer and crisps are natural allies, so these make perfect sense. And with strong flavours of hops and citrus mingling with the deep crunch of moreish potato, these crisps are an old fashioned pub session in a bag. Now, whose round is it? Rating: 8.4

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 18/02/2024
Frisps Salt & Vinegar: Taking several powerful chomps to crunch down, these Frisps let out tangy bites of salt and vinegar along the way but never overpower. Strong potato flavour at the heart, and dirt cheap in a multipack, so an excellent choice to snack on. Rating: 8.0

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 03/02/2024
Frisps Ready Salted: It may claim not to be a crisp, but it certainly is. The roughly formed ridges give it an intriguing texture which goes hand in hand with a big crunch. Slightly dry, but not overly so, and the simple salt flavouring balances well with the potato. Rating: 7.9

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 25/01/2024
Sainsbury's Lion Snacks: They may be light on the tongue, but these salty snacks are full of creamy potato notes and produce a big, satisfying crunch between your teeth. Flavoursome, fun and, at 20p a pack, excellent value for money. A roaring success. Rating: 7.9

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 23/01/2024
Mini Cheddars Original: Sorry, but I'm counting these as crisps. Yes, they're dry, but they also have a deep, satisfying crunch and a powerful cheddar flavour which coats the mouth with a vengeance. A British classic, even if they do get stuck in your teeth. Rating: 8.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 14/01/2024
Squares Salt & Vinegar: I don't eat enough Squares, and these are a firm reminder of why I've been wasting my life. The sharp, acidic tang of the vinegar gets you salivating instantly and you're then hit by the mighty, potatoey crunch reverberating around your head. Rating: 8.6

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 07/01/2024
M&S Mature Cheddar & Spring Onion: Starting with a sharp edge of cheddar, the cheese flavour mellows into something more soft and creamy as the mild tang of the spring onions kick in. Beautifully realised. Rating: 8.0

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 31/12/2023
Co-op Ultimate Roast Potato: like all good roast potatoes, these are crunchy and luxuriously oily. The garlic and rosemary bring complexity to the flavour, but there's an unmistakable cheddar aroma mingling with the black pepper aftertaste, which threw me a bit. Rating: 7.8

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 22/12/2023
Real Peri-Peri Chicken: Move over, Nando's, this is how you do peri-peri chicken. A delicious concoction of fragrant spice, sharp acidity, peppery heat and succulent roast chicken, these crisps will leave you licking your fingerprints off. Rating: 8.4

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 21/12/2023
Walkers Christmas Pudding: the idea of Christmas Pudding crisps is ridiculous, but Christmas is a time for miracles. And these actually work. They're a festive mouthful, equal parts sweet and spicy, becoming more addictive as the flavours unwrap like a surprise gift. Rating: 7.7

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 15/12/2023
Tesco Camembert, Honey & Rosemary: No logical reason exists as to why these are limited edition. Waves of rosemary fill the mouth before a spoonful of honey coats the tongue to set the scene for a long, indulgent finish of creamy Camembert. Absolutely gorgeous. Rating: 9.2

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 15/12/2023
Roysters T-Bone Steak: It's rare that someone doesn't like Roysters, but it simply means there's more for us. Heavily seasoned with a rich, almost spicy, beef flavour, the genius of these crisps lies in their bubbly, poppy texture which never fails to delight. Rating: 9.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 10/12/2023
Golden Wonder Bang Bang Spicy Thai: Frankly, there aren't enough Bang Bang Spicy Thai crisps on the shelves. But the fruity zing-zang of these deep crunch crisps combine with a sweet, spicy tingle to deliver what should become a national favourite and best seller. Rating: 8.4

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 05/12/2023
M&S Truffle & Olive Oil: are truffles the luxury edge your crisps need? If you want a pungent dose of musky mushroom which infects your nose like the common cold, then maybe. So, an acquired taste, and one with a muted, disappointing snap. But it's for a good cause. Rating: 7.1

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 03/12/2023
Skips Prawn Cocktail: it's difficult for a crisp to stand out, but Skips make it look easy. As light as a leaf in a breeze, Skips melt away in seconds but their mild aromas of prawn cocktail linger on. The flavour could have more punch, but Skips remain a classic. Rating: 8.3

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 26/11/2023
Hula Hoops Original: potato/salt is a basic combo, and it shouldn't taste this good. But Hula Hoops do something very simple, exceptionally well. The crunch snaps like a whip and your tongue searches out every last ounce of flavour from these well seasoned potatoes. Rating: 9.0
010
British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 25/11/2023
Golden Wonder Smoky Bacon: there's a piggy origin in these crisps, but the end result is far from smoky bacon. Imagine a delicious slice of honey roast ham for your sandwich, that's what these crisps deliver in the taste stakes. Nice enough, but they need more smoke. Rating: 7.9

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 19/11/2023
Golden Wonder Rough Cuts Chargrilled Steak: there's nothing rough about these crisps. In fact, these epitomise the term solid like few others. A big crunch, a delicious potato flavour and bathed in a rich beef seasoning, these will have your mouth watering. Rating: 8.2

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 17/11/2023
Harry Ramsden's Salt & Vinegar: a trip to the chip shop is always special, and I really wanted these crisps to match that. And they come close. Plenty of malt vinegar to tickle the taste buds and a firm crunch, but they're missing that little bit of greasy, fatty joy. Rating: 7.4

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 11/11/2023
Morrisons Doner Kebab: the 'kebab shop at 3am' is a rite of passage for British people, but now you can experience it from the comfort of your own home. Meaty, greasy and packed full of herbs and spices vying for your attention, these crisps will soak up everything. Rating: 8.2

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 07/11/2023
Golden Wonder Sausage & Tomato: there are 554 Home Bargains stores in the UK, and they sell these crisps. This means savouring the tangy tomato magic and meaty, porky goodness is easy. A lost classic rediscovered. Buy multiple bags. Now. Rating 8.5

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 06/11/2023
Golden Wonder Bacon Streaks: in a crowded marketplace, these are far from the whole hog. Saying that, is there such a thing as a bad Frazzle-style crisp? The smoky bacon aroma is mild, but it has a deep crunch to leave you *nearly* as happy as a pig in the proverbial. Rating: 7.2

British Crisps @britishcrisps.bsky.social · 04/11/2023
Tyrrell's Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper: they may promise heat, but it's mild when it comes. Luckily, the flavour is the main winner. With a crunch which cracks like lightening, these crisps unleash pearls of sweet chilli goodness that waft elegantly around your mouth. Rating: 8.4
