If it makes you feel better I was able to save the game over 70 times and had plenty of extra to spend on the vending machines as I went. I'm pretty sure it's just there to add to the tension and as a callback to its inspirations.

The whole package is phenomenal and their environmental design is masterclass. They wear their inspirations in their sleeve but it feels very natural. The combat is clunky but fair in a good way. I was already looking forward to this game but it's surpassed all expectations so far.

Here's my cheatsheet for how to spot generated 3D models. I focused on Tripo for this one. MCP use is moving too fast for me to be confident in the tells atm. I put it in the note, but don't harass people. Any of these 'tells' can also be intentional or accidental. Depends on the intended usecase.

There's also a couple archived worlds from the Life Drawing art show that scratch that "artist alley" vibe and can be good for finding legitimate artists in the VR scene. Idk when the next one is but when it was live it was so much fun talking with the artists there!

PSA that you're not too old to learn and pick up new skills. I say this as someone who picked up a second language at 30 and an entire 3D art skillset that I did not have prior just because I found a reason to learn. Also wanted to share that this "fact" I've heard for years is very much a myth.
