I've had my first full new novel idea since I came out as trans, and yikes is it light years from anything else I've ever wanted to write. The characters feel different; the story feels different; the tone is light-years from anything else I've done. But I'm happy about it.

I was in naval intelligence in the late 80s/early 90s. I have so many (classified) stories of Soviet stupidity - some harmless, others less so. The US is definitely now the laughing stock. They're an embarassment. Hmm. Maybe that's a sign of where we're headed as a country.

It's frustrating to see wave after wave of literal dog-shit come out of Hollywood - budget and blockbuster - but I keep getting told by media executives that Coyote & Crow isn't viable for film or television because they can't get their head around the concept of Indigenous Futurism.
