I don't understand why my brother's cat loves being in my room so much. It's not like she specifically wants to be around me, in fact she usually doesn't give a shit about me unless my brother is out of town. BUT FOR SOME REASON she just loves to be in my room. I don't get it 😭

About to go into work and I have a headache and my eyes hurt. I think this is what sleep deprivation feels like. The ear drops haven't been working at all, I think the only reason I'm gonna be able to sleep at all tonight is cause I'll probably come home and immediately pass out.

BrightSide @brightsidegames.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

It's getting worse now, both of my ears are getting plugged up. I know some people actually prefer wearing ear plugs while sleeping, but for me I hate not being able to hear anything at night. It legit makes me uncomfortable and I'm starting to lose sleep over it.

It sucks so much being a fan of Level-5 games, man. "A new game that's an alternate take on Yokai Watch, a YW2 remake, a new Layton game AND a remake of Curious Village?! We're eating!!" And then you remember they use Gen AI for basically every aspect of their games and you just feel deflated :(

Switch Sports Resort seems like they're really listening to the criticisms from the first game and making them better in every way. Like look at this, Switch Sports 1 could never dream of having customization as good as this.

A screenshot of the September 2026 Nintendo Direct, showcasing the player character customization in Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. The character is customized to look like some kind of alien-like jellyfish humanoid.

Yet another year where my ear builds up so much ear wax that it flat out plugs up, and there's nothing I can do about it. I either have to go to the doctor (and with my insurance that is NOT happening) or wait it out for MONTHS until it clears up on its own. I fucking hate it here.

This is expensive as all hell, but considering the only way to get 4ever on an official Blu Ray is from an OOP combo pack that goes for $200+ and the fact that the Lucario and Manaphy movies never(?) got official Blu Ray releases, I'd say this is just BARELY worth it. But you gotta really want it.

Man, I forgot how slow and tedious the Jirachi shiny hunt is lol. My original goal was 200 resets a day, now it's down to 150, and now I might lower it further to 100 a day. It'll take way longer to get to odds, but when resets are 1.5 - 2 minutes each it makes it hard to stay in the zone.

000

BrightSide @brightsidegames.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Didn't get a screenshot of the encounter itself, but holy shit. Shiny Celebi after only 660 soft resets. I feel like I used up ALL my luck and now I have no hope for getting Jirachi. But that isn't gonna stop me from trying. 🙏 I will at least cherish the shiny I *did* get because LOOK AT ITTTTT

BrightSide @brightsidegames.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

The list of shinies I need to collect before Pokemon Bank shuts down. I know most of these are in Pokemon GO, but I live in a small town and I never have the time or money to travel anywhere. Anyway, looks like I got my work cut out for me 🙏

Mew, Celebi, Spinda, Jirachi, Vivillon (Not including Meadow, Garden, and Fancy), Type Null, Silvally, Poipole, Naganadel

Honestly I'd say this is pretty accurate to me. I don't try to have a big head about it, like constantly talking up how I'm sooooooo kind is something I never wanna do. But reading the longer description about what Kindness represents definitely reflects how I act.

For the longest time, I was convinced that I was more introverted because whenever I'd hang out with my friends my social battery would be drained for a month. Then I found people I actually wanna be around all the time and it's like a switch flipped. So much overwhelming emotion I can't handle it.

July was horrible for me. Had barely anyone to talk to and it just reminded me how truly alone I am. No one to talk about how our weeks are going, no one to gush about what projects we're working on, no one to go "this post reminded me of you" or "we HAVE to play this game" with. It sucks so much.

Hot take but the altered lighting in Majora's Mask 3D doesn't bother me at all. I don't think it loses its atmosphere or anything, the game just generally looks really good. Also don't mind any of the other changes made for 3DS. Some are genuinely good, and others are mildly disappointing at worst.
