When I was growing up, there were many times that we relied on food stamps. Not because my parents were lazy - they both worked full-time,but they just didn't get paid well. Relying on government help does not make you a bad person.

I live in a big city (Philadelphia). There are so many people I come across every single day who do not speak English - either at all, or as their chosen language. Does that bother me? No. What bothers me is that I live in a country where speaking something other than English is suspect.

When I was a kid, my mom would always say "Don't hate anyone. It takes up too much energy." Then once when she told us she hated someone, and we threw her words back at her, she replied, "It takes no energy at all to hate her." I feel that way about Trump and his minions.
