If anyone is wondering why we complain about the heat when it's not even that high. It's currently 07:50 am and 18⁰c outside. My house however is built to retain heat and is already 27⁰c. It's going to go as high as 33⁰c outside today.

still waiting on the printer to make the last few shelving brackets but the bedroom makeover is basically done. Walls painted, curtains, pillow cases and duvet cover sewn and one of the shelves between the wardrobes up. And in case you are wondering that is a perfume atomiser

So while I was off last week I decided to answer the age old question of "what if Jane Austen was a Nirvana fan?" Basically I made a regency dress in black cotton and refashion an old flannel shirt into a Spencer jacket. So 1790's does 1990's. Great lighthouse of Alexandria for scale #sewing

Sunday was a trip to the Louvre. It was a rainy day and the Eiffel tower was hidden in the mist but I had a great time looking at old artifacts and renaissance art. I also got an excellent croissant from a bakery called the french basterds. I thoroughly approve of the name

Although the flight over was a complete WAR CRIME! Once I was checked into the hotel however, I could relax and enjoy the city. The side streets with the little bookshops and art studios have been my favourite so far but there is something special about the big attractions like Notre dame.
