Here it is! www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/... Well worth listening to the whole programme - Sarah Hadland and Jennifer Saint are both incredibly impressive, and brightened the mood a lot!.

Off to St Mary’s Church Putney, appropriately by boat, to revisit the 1647 Leveller/Grandee debates with live and streamed school audiences for Learn with the Lords. Where does sovereignty lie? Nerdishly excited.

My understanding (expressed near the end) that nearly all routes to settlement require knowledge of English language to be demonstrated (in the case of the five-year spousal pathway, both at the midway and the final points) seems to be borne out by this table. Any other views?

If the government is serious about slashing regulation, will it bring wholly into force a new and unprecedented regulatory regime, costly for businesses and the taxpayer, well-meant but whose possible benefits are uncertain? To govern is to choose. #MartynsLaw

The UK’s Assisted Dying Bill (uniquely in the world) would require a High Court Judge to be satisfied that applicants were not “coerced or pressured by any other person”. If AD happens on even a fraction of this scale, how many extra judges would be needed for this requirement to be met?
