This is from Council Member Virginia Maloney*, the bill/measures are bicycle restrictions, and the “extremist” organization is Transportation Alternatives This is one of the only public statements I’ve seen her make since entering office in January. She got into politics running on her mom’s name

So I am pressing ahead to support my bill and many other of the measures being considered on Wednesday, because I entered public service to support New Yorkers, not special interest advocacy organizations arguing extremist positions.

The thing is, I don't think the Left is actually America's left. I think America's Right are Nazis, America's Centrist Dems are rightward, the Democratic Party includes a lot of Left Dems that are soft European Left, and outside the Dems is a far left contingent best referred to as The Assholes

Because of Mamdani's paying influencers to promote him, I now assume by default that everyone in NYC who's been praising him online like they're in a cult or something has been getting paid to do that. That's not good for Mamdani & it's not good for trust in government.
