2009 UGA-LSU is up there, as was 2013 UGA-Vandy. If I was older, I can only assume the 1999 UGA-GT game would make the list, but I wasn't really fully into fanhood by that point. Tyler Simmons was also onside, but that game was more shellshocked-and-sad than angry.

My local paper still uses a website that looks like it was built in 2004. It's updated once a week. Fresh stories are only posted the day before the weekly physical paper goes to print. And even then -- there's never anything different on the website than what's in the paper.

It’s that way in most bowling leagues too. You always high five your opponent when they make a good shot! One of the benefits of a sport where there’s no defense; it’s easier for that sportsmanship because you and your opponent have no control over each other.

I went to the new(ish) Kroger in Hoschton. They have a clothing section, and I happened to need some new boxers. Grabbed a generic three-pack of Haines off the shelf -- no price tag, but whatever; they're boxers. Got to self-checkout. They rang up for $45. I canceled the transaction.

Speaking only from my own experience. I've bowled in a casual league where it was $15/week, with $12 going to the bowling alley and $3 to the league prize fund. I basically paid $4/game. An open bowler might by $5-6 per game (or $25 for, say, an hour lane rental) plus another $5 for renting shoes.

Bowlero only wants open bowlers, and I've even been in a league where they asked us to hurry up and finish because they had open bowlers who were waiting on a lane. Suffice it to say, I do not pay to join any leagues at Bowlero now. I bowl at a different, more-well-managed bowling center.

And yes, they absolutely prefer "open play" bowlers to league bowlers. Open bowlers (someone just having fun as a one-off thing) pay more. League bowlers pay less, but they are consistent income.

As a bowler...I can 100000000% attest to this being true. Bowlero buys up the best bowling alleys, squeezes them for every penny they're worth, runs them directly into the ground, and pats themselves on the back. Please -- if you're gonna take your kids bowling, find the local mom and pop shop.
