Does anyone have experience of cats with kidney disease? How do you get them to eat? Mine is refusing special 'renal' wet food and only has a few nibbles of dry food. He's gone from six kilos to four over three months. Very worried about him. Advice welcome, please. #cats #catsWithKidneyDisease

Yes, you can get winter hardy varieties of lettuce, e.g. Little Gem in the UK. I grow them in the unheated greenhouse. There are also winter hardy varieties of peas and broad beans which can also be grown under cover.

For context, my panels are rated at 7.680kW. Today at 09:57 it's dull and overcast and they are generating 2.41kW. 31% 31% of 800W = 248W. Better than nothing, but it won't power much and you won't be exporting anything. It will be less in the winter months.

800 watts max in full mid-day summer sun with south-aligned panels will run the fridge and a few lights & chargers for a few hours, but not much else. They won't boil a kettle. How long before people buy more and plug them all into an extension lead?

Does anyone have experience of renal issues with cats? We learnt yesterday our stray ginger tom, who's been with us 10 years, has advanced kidney disease. Have just picked-up some Royal Canin renal food, but how do you separate the special food from the 'normal' food for the other cats ?
