I played Animal Crossing during Covid quarantine for a few weeks about an hour daily. Told a friend about it and made a comment like "haha, imagine if I was doing something productive for an hour a day." Realized I wasn't joking and haven't played it since

Shows about fictional genius comedians usually don’t work because you have to be a genius comedian yourself to write their material, and Aaron Sorkin wasn’t. Marvelous Mrs Maisel had the same problem. Ironically, 30 Rock did have genius writers, and they chose to make TGS bad because that’s funnier

This is some of the high ground people lose by staying on Twitter - it’s hard to credibly take a stance against the CSAM machine platform when they and their campaign regularly spend time there

I don't know, my 7-year-old nephew got to meet Mr. Beast recently and was fuckin jazzed as hell, and his 9-year-old cousin was insanely jealous. These ages are probably clues as to why a lot of the external stuff fails

The recount showed no changes in any precinct in the HD-84 race, and 6 precincts out of the 50 or so chosen for a recount in the constitutional amendment vote had differences of up to 3 votes. www.sedgwickcounty.org/media/74158/...

There's a documentary about the Barkley Marathons that I like a lot, but sometimes the interviewees start dipping into a spiritual tone of "you need to self-inflict pain to fully enjoy life" and it's like, alright guys chill out you're just joggers

I barely ever use Twitch, but I think it's probably more like talk radio than podcasts (unedited, runs all day), but with the added layer of a community to interact with real time in the chat.

There is a world of baby shark car videos, with shark-themed cars doing songs along to the baby shark melody. They branch into other songs like Five Little Monkeys, which have monkey cars playing with the shark cars. Semiotic madness reigns
