The proposed #welfare cuts will mean that potentially between 800k & 1.2m people will lose between £4k to £6k - vulnerable people already impacted by #austerity. A 2% tax on wealth over £10m (0.4% of Britain's population) would raise £22bn. Which one seems fairer? #WealthTaxNow

The welfare review tomorrow will only add to the strain on the vulnerable. In Yorkshire, mental health services faced a £600M funding cut & youth services saw a 74% decline. The wealthy and big corporations should pay their fair share to rebuild our services, not the ones already hardest hit.

The number of billionaires exploded from 15 in 1990 to 177. In the 70's the wage differential between the highest earner & the lowest was 32 times the salary, today it's over 200. A wealth tax is the way forward. Eg. a 2% tax increase on those with assets over £10m, could raise £22bn per year.
