Can't catch a break, now my dog is sick. She goes to the vet tomorrow. Fuck my life

We all hit a rough patch from time to time, especially when health issues arise. One of my best friends could use some help to get back on his feet, and since he won't ask for help, I will: gofund.me/3af6b34a0

Nothing like getting hit with a letter from my HOA. They want my house repainted, all trees trimmed, and fence gates updated. Already shelled out $1000 for just the tree trimming. $1500 to replace the fence gates and around $4000 for house repainting. Fun.

Time to fuck shit up at Megaplex!

Dodging bullets out here. Tire repaired for free, fixed fan(just replaced motor) and garage door opener(installed a universal receiver and bypassed the onboard one) and got a sitter for my dog.

I am just not feeling this con, at all. Got another $1k+ in unexpected emergency repairs in the past week. Plumbing, room fan died, garage door receiver board fried, got a flat today and I still don't even have a sitter for my dog. MP might be a skip this year.

Honestly forgot until recently that Megaplex was coming up. I'll be there, it's the only con I go to now anyway!

This new job made me reconsider working for them, another one of their engineers left the day before they interviewed me. Recruiter stated they were a 'high stress' role but enough to lose 2 people back to back? Ehhh no thank you. Also mandatory nights/weekends work

Well I got the job but didn't like their offer, so I countered. That department left for the day so I'll know if they accept it tomorrow morning!

2 and a half hour interview. I fucking KILLED it. The IT L Director was impressed I knew more engineering than I let on, they actually want to have me do a more heavy engineering role, more money! I may have an offer as early as Tuesday!

Had to put my old corgi to sleep today. She made it almost 15 years, but the past couple months were hell with her health. Finally, today, she let me know it was time. You're the best dog I've ever had Elly.

Oh that's nice, one of my neighbor's large pine trees split down the middle and is leaning towards my house, being supported by the branches below it. $800 later I'm getting that removed and 4 of my trees hurricane ready lol

Well another plus of firing the subpar co-worker. We can go back to working from home one day a week again. He was literally so bad we couldn't leave him on-site with low staff, our CIO distrusted him that much...wow

Oof. Co-worker on my team got fired today. I'm not surprised, he was very subpar and seemed to be in WAY over his head. I took over his job in the 3 months I've been here by automation and streamlining/sunsetting a lot of antiquated procedures he was doing. Wasn't my original intention though...
