When I was 17 in 1975 my state of PA contributed 70% of the schools revenue. In 2026 it’s 35%. I taught nursing at a PA state school. We were the cheapest way to get a BSN in PA but still $10K/year for just tuition and fees. Admission was extremely competitive at 10% accepted.
