Timing matters too and it's a crapshoot if it's the right time. Dad loved musicals. I thought they were cringe. 4th of July morning, "Paint your Wagon" came on TV and I was bored (4 channels & the others were news). Surprisingly, Presnell's "Mariah" changed my 80's teenage pop loving mind.

The raccoon had 3 cubs is a fact. Evolution is a SCIENTIFIC theory. It proposes a statistically overwhelming explanation of a population of raccoons. We use statistics to estimate how likely we are correct. We have no way to test if that population of raccoons is actually a 5th dimensional farm.

I know it's obvious, but the Field Museum, especially the library. One of 2 copies of Audubon's book. 7000 original ancient Asian books and scrolls, w/ Cuneiform from Iranian trade, in the Laufer collection. Everything from the 1893 Columbian World's Fair went into the collection. 250k+ photos.

My feeling is if you're a bird, and you get hit by a turbine, it's improving the gene pool of the species. It's akin to getting killed by landing on a beached walrus. A large predator with a very limited range you can see and hear from miles away and can easily avoid going into that range.
