My aunt was talking to spirits she could see in the far corner of her room last 24-48 hours. Her grandmother told us all that our dead loved ones gather around to usher the dying person & help loosen earthbound ties. Thought it was creepy AF as a teen, but saw it happen that night.

I've also experienced time-warp connective tissue-bending while bearing witness to my aunt's passing. We didn't tell my mom (her sister) - recovering from a stroke in nearby hospital - that the sister she'd cared for during last final cancerous days had died til 5 days later. She already knew.

I salute you as I approach year 6. This year has been hard at times -- until we put media + attention rules in place (only 1 hr of news from only y sources, notifications off, outdoor time, etc).

Mr BRC lifetime Duck fan who witnessed Kelly's regime up close & personal thanks to season tickets & friends in the know. He grudgingly nodded at my assessment - even tho it feels like elder abuse from his contemporaries.

Verdict? Best thing ever - especially after I added can of great northern beans & a crapton of fresh thyme.

I added diced Aidell's pineapple-bacon sausage to sauteeing veggies in dutch oven. Next, I'll toss can of Ro-Tel & all of the sheared off corn niblets in an hour, then strain coconut milk/corn stock into the pot for a low & slow simmer. It's either going to be a Hot Mess or the best thing ever.

I'm making 'clean out the fridge' soup right now, featuring all of the corn we made for Sun family dinner that we forgot to serve with the meal! - Corn cobs simmering in a coconut milk/water bath. - Celery, onion, wilted mushrooms & red pepper sauteed with leftover gyro meat & diced red pepper

I just tucked Mr BRC into bed for maybe 2nd time in our 14-year history. He's in pain after pickleball injury Fri. It's worse today, despite all the therapies: OTC drugs, hot tub, icing & now heat pack & special padded seat. I slapped on salonpas patches & dosed him w/CBD+ tincture & 💊.
