I stopped buying books from Amazon years ago, but I still need to disentangle myself from Goodreads. I have a good spreadsheet for tracking, but it doesn't replace discovering new authors based on what my friends liked. Storygraph isn't quite what I want either. If you find solutions, please share.

This is painfully true, but ALSO I read recently that Epstien was, on top of being a pedophile procurer, a guy who could get rich people whatever they wanted, which might include a collection of other illegal activities that the powerful would not want revealed.

It disturbs me a little when I see that a friend wants to RP a character that they consider a hero (not intentionally playing a villain) who is blatantly cruel. We may all work through complicated things in safe setting, but if someone's imagined power scenario excludes kindness, it makes me sad.

It was a near thing. I tried to sleep for about 40 minutes, then gave up and got back out of bed. Now I'm folding laundry because why not? Every now and then, I have to remind myself why I avoid caffeine. Yes, I know most people drink it all day w/ no problems. Am I some kind of mutant? Maybe?
