Sorry for the radio silence for the last week. Been moving and unpacking stuff nearly all day every day and started setting up my office this evening. I have a tourney match on Friday, so I hope to have everything set up a few days prior so I can prepare for that.

a lil update for those not in my discord

Hey all, I thought I’d provide an official update on what’s happening in the next few weeks. Today, August 21, was my last day of work before moving to Canada. I will be unemployed for an uncertain amount of time while my paperwork is processed so I can gain permanent resident status.

I’ve been at my job for nearly 5 years and I’m sad to go, but it needed to be done. I did learn a lot there though and am optimistic about the future of my career.

In the meantime, I plan on streaming full time. This probably does not mean 8-10 hours every day immediately. I’ll continue with my normal schedule and add in streams when I feel like it. I will continue SMW speedrunning for the foreseeable future, as I have a lot of things I want to accomplish with that game. I’ve been thinking about what else I want to speedrun as well but haven’t landed on anything yet.

Thanks for reading, and I really appreciate all of the support that you guys have shown over the years and especially lately as I’ve been streaming more consistently.

had a pretty nice long stream today, finished a 96 exit and did some 11 exit as well. i finished a 10:20, with about 20s to save on the cloud fight. my pb is a 9:59, so i basically would have tied it if the fight went well. going to spend some more time practicing

I've learned nibna clip in VOB2. It saves 16 seconds over not clipping at all and 5 seconds over the old sandbar clip. Interestingly, if you miss a cycle while trying to dupe for the key you still save 4 seconds over not clipping at all. The old sandbar clip is faster than missing a cycle, though.
