Nuanderra = the new world Eferanderra = the spirit world. You can also change a word by using suffixes. atsi = to hate atsemo = I hate atsil = (the) hate atsis = hateful (adjective) And then there's cases: atsil maluëa = the hate of apples mala atsuë = the apples of hate and so on...

#Conlangity Day 8 Nummersil is highly agglutinative, with a lot of suffixes for cases, prepositions and so on for nouns and time markers and even sometimes personal pronouns for verbs. Compound words are just glued together. Anderra = world/land Oranderra = the old world (our world)

For the #WIPsnips with Pyra showing Ronan her outlaw village. The ruins have tiny lizards and alpine plants that have no native range left anywhere on the planet, but no panther...
‘So there’s still ruins in the village too?’
He stopped to look at the overgrown structure, full of weeds and small shrubs. Gaping holes where once had doors seemed to lead to a lot of darkness inside.
‘Oh, they never rebuilt everything. Think of the ruins in between here and the City. This one must have been some sort of mansion or so, but it probably wasn’t worth restoring for the early outlaws. Doesn’t a Ghost Town need a haunted castle anyway?’
‘So, what’s in there?’
‘Ghosts and cobwebs? We need to keep them somewhere, don’t we? No, actually, it seems that those ruins have their own ecosystems, with tiny lizards and rare alpine plants that have no native range on the planet anymore, stuff like that. In the wilderness they could house bears or panthers too probably. Lots of room for anything to make a house in, not just humans’
‘Oh…’
‘But don’t worry. The biggest predator that could hide there in this village is the cat.’
‘But there could be other animals outside the city walls? In between here and the City I mean.’
‘Nature is returning, so who knows.’ She said darkly. ‘But panthers don’t eat outlaws, only Nationers…’

#Conlangity Day 7 Nummersil is often O VS, with the subject as a suffix to the verb when it's just a pronoun. The direct object is marked by a case and a prepositionsufix (-u-ki) so it can be placed anywhere except between verb and subject. Bram esmo. (I am Bram) maluki edemo. (I eat an apple)

The image is of a four panel comic.
In panel one, we see a crow’s face. It says, “I AM DEATH’S MESSENGER”.
In panel two, we see the same crow’s face. It continues, “YOUR TIME IS NEAR”.
In panel four, we see the crow awkwardly hopping away from a stick figure.
In panel five, we see the grim reaper with the crow perched on his hand. The grim reaper says, “So you should probably fly away dramatically instead.”

For the #WIPsnips After the adventures the normal risks of the City are nothing in comparison to what Pyra and Ronan have seen... Will any sort of 'normal' return after the end of the story? Do they even want that?

‘How can normal life work again after all that? I mean, just going to school after being stuck in Héva and then wandering through the wilderness… Plus I’m going to miss being with you all the time…’
‘Ah, that’s flattering…’
‘It’s all your fault, you know?’ Ronan said.
‘I didn’t do anything, except for not checking when that aeroplane would depart. All the rest was done by the both of us.’
‘I didn’t mean… Well, you convinced me to escape into the city in Héva, and to cross the wilderness too. You always do dangerous things.’
‘But it would have been boring if we wouldn’t have done those things. And it was educational!’ She grinned again.
‘It was, and it all ended well, but sometimes you need to think before you act. It could have ended differently too, you know.’
‘I am good at calculating risks…’
‘Or you were lucky, and you needed me to stop you from doing even mores stupid things.’
‘Oh, but that would still mean we’re a good team, right?’
Probably, but what now? I’m going back to school where everything is as stupid as ever, and my parents will be crazy mad about everything. I’m not even sure when I can come to visit you again…’
‘Oh, we’ll find a way to see each other. I have your home phone number, and I can send you Pen Pal letters, plus I know my way in the City now. You’ll see me appear.’
‘Isn’t that dangerous? An outlaw girl in a Nation City?’
‘Oh, nothing compared to what we’ve seen together. And Elder Eliza will have to give Ghost Town magic now to defend myself now. I’ve travelled the world and faced a wild Mammoth. I’m a big girl now…’
‘My parents will only get more restrictive. Probably about us too…’

The easiest way to greet someone in Nummersil (and also the first thing I made in the language) is just the '2 word vocative', the name followed by é. Emily é! For very important persons the honorfic -dinn is added as a suffix Emily-dinn e!

For the #WIPsnips I shared this before I think. Hévan gnokbok (pronounced with an actual GN-sound) is chewy and rather tasteless, made from starch from potatoes and rice. Ronan isn't the biggest fan...
‘Ah, so this is supposed to be food?’ Pyra asked, staring at the weird geometric shapes on the plate.
‘What else would it be, sisterling? And you’re lucky, they’ve given you a whole mix of protein blocks. The red ones are lab-beef, the white ones are lab-cod. The green ones are just watermeal.’ She pointed at the strange cube-like things.
‘Eh, ok? And those tiny white bricks?’ Ronan said, poking a white bar-shaped object.’
‘You don’t even have gnokbok on Nation Island?’
‘I have never heard of anything like gnokbok, or of any of these other abominations. Food shouldn’t be so rectangular!’ Pyra said, trying out the initial gn-sound. ‘Gn…, Gn…, Gnokbok? It’s the carbs I suppose?’
‘It’s made of starch from potatoes and rice. It’s chewy. You best eat it with the hot sauce.’ Levona said, looking amusedly at the perplexed young Nationers. She pointed at a cube-shaped container with red sauce.
‘But why the shapes?’ Ronan asked.
‘I suppose it’s how the machine cuts them? Does’t food always have those shapes?’
‘Eh, not even labmeat looks so perfectly square in The Nation. This is just creepy.’ Ronan said, and then he pointed at the coin-shaped orange things. ‘And what’s that supposed to be?’
‘Those are just carrot slices, manling. Pure organic veggies. Don’t tell me you don’t even have carrots on Nation Island?’
‘Ah, but why are they orange. Carrots should be white.’
‘But those are boring. The best carrots are the purple ones actually. We grow a lot of them in our vegetable patch.’ Pyra added.
‘Well this is where you two completely lose me. Orange carrots are as old as microchips, or even printed books.’
‘Manfred had them banned. I read that in a book. He said that white carrots were more manly I think.’
‘That is the stupidest thing I ever heard.’ Lanova shook her head and Pyra nodded in agreement.

#Conlangity 5 Nummersil is older than the presence of Nummerfa in Nuanderra and must have evolved froma language that their ancestors spoke when they left our world around 10K-12K years ago. This Proto-nummersil has a similar script and is decipherable by current Nummerfa.

It's quite strong as a slur indeed. On the other hand, there's a satanic cult who 'worship the Bold' who see the Gorchbold as the bringer of progress and liberation. Poor Joris who has been summoned by them doesn't really like that...

For the #WIPsnips To enter the city walls of the outlaw village you need to say the Free Person pledge...
She looked at the store, which was indeed full of people, and most of them outsiders, instead of the usual local villagers. 'Ah yes, it's outsider hour. Very busy right now. I would advice you to come at another time if you want to visit our shop…'
'I am not the one shopping, my mother is. And I'm a Nation boy, so I would have to follow outsider hours myself.'
She looked at him. He was wearing a Nationer school uniform indeed, with an Epsilon badge on his chest, and had very short dark black hair and deep brown eyes.
'Hmm, that’s true. You'd need Ghost Town friends for that. I could bring you in at any moment, and you could buy everything at our own prices too. We have interesting stuff that you Nationers don’t have…'
'I have no friends.' He said, and then stared into nothingness, ashamed of what he had said.
She suddenly stood straight and said 'Do you pledge allegiance to all friendly people, regarldless or sex, age, or status?' in an official-sounding voice.
'Eh, I think so. I don't see why not. And I already answered that question earlier when we entered your city walls. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been let in.' He said, taken aback.
'Then we can be friends. We can always have more friends over here. You look like a one-in-a-hundred boy, so you're okay.' She said.
'You don’t have enough friends?'
'All the kids here are friends, but we can always use more. You must know our history, Ghost Towns used to be all-female outlaw communities, and there never were any kids except for a few runaway girls. Now we have men and women and some kids are being born, but there's not that many first-generation kids like me.'

(But the word is important, not just as a local slur with a political dimension, it's also the title of the second Liana story. Are humans from our world nawa (moral sentient beings like all Nuanderran humanoids) or are they gorchbold, dangerous demons that need to be kept out of the world?)

#Conlangity Day 3 Longer consonant clusters are rare in Nummerfil. The 'rchb' combination for example only exists in the word 'Gorchbold' (a name for our species meaning ugly monster from hell gorch-bold),a loanword from Drotniril, which has more Germanic-sounding harsh sounds.

For the #WIPsnips The poppy had dropped most of its petals. (quite normal behaviour for papavers when it gets hot)

‘And here are our vegetable fields. Every community member comes helping at least one day every two months, just like the store and the maintenance of the village in general.’
Ronan looked at a fiery red poppy that had dropped most of its petals in the sun already, followed by a long row of identical plants with white stems and round leaves. Two or three had bolted into a whole bush of tiny yellow flowers. ‘So what are you growing here?’
‘We don’t grow grains here ourselves, so it’s mostly vegetables and fruits, some herbs, also fer tea. These are choy cabbages, and those are purple carrots, and then there’s beet leaves and stuff like that. It’s all very healthy they say.’
‘It’s sill a lot better than bland aquaculture veggies and cheap lab-meat I suppose.’
‘Ah, for the meat you have to visit our chicken farm. We have chickens, and some ducks and turkeys. And goats, but they are only for milk.’
She gestured vaguely in the direction of a big barn, and only now he saw a herd of goats in different colours in a field behind it.’
‘No goat meat?’
‘We don’t eat our friends. But what do you think of it? Do you like the village?’
‘Like it? It feels like a vacation like I’ve never had before. I must not forget to go home. It must be so interesting to live here…’
‘Ah. For me it’s just my home village.’

Some shapes have a pictogram origin, but I lost the first versions. The M comes from a mama-symbol (pregnant belly) and the A is a stylised tree for example. A more clear pattern: long vowels have a vertical | added to the basic letter somewhere.

Is it some American brainwashing thing to stop people from talking about the important things or is there something else behind it?
010
Brambonius @brambonius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Is there any logic behind the online use of 'this is political' as a conversation-stopper? Why would something being political mean you should not talk about it? Aren't things that are 'political' often very important and things that need to be talked about?

The Nuanderrans that moved from our world (Oranderra) are several humanoid species (and a 'non-evil' type of humans that are not always seem as the same species as us), who all have different languages, but I wouldn't be able to say much in most of them except for Nummersil.

Which also reminds me of the word 'hypocrites' used by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, which actually just referred to an actor in Greek theater with a mask, playing a role... That tells me something about playing roles in relationships...

Brambonius @brambonius.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
And if you are not their fantasy man or woman from the theories, then become it, and play a role, deny who you are and become a worse lover and partner! But also because it sounds fake and phony. A relationship should be about intimacy of 2 people, not 2 people denying themselves to play roles.
110
Brambonius @brambonius.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
First because people who use gender stereotypes like that (even though they say 'men and women are not the same') seem to imply that all people of one sex are the same, which is nonsense but also very dangerous and damaging in its creepy normativity.
