These screenshots are randomly chosen so it's actually a wild coincidence that this is exactly where I am in the remake right now. Here's a screenshot from about an hour ago before I stopped to eat lunch lol

Side note: Whenever I play games in Japanese I always feel a special connection to the English speaking characters who struggle with Japanese. So shoutout to Karen in this game

Took a couple months but I rolled credits on Tokyo Xanadu tonight. Really enjoyed it, I'm definitely looking forward to Kyoto Xanadu now 👍 (I actually played it Japanese for fun, but seeing as they haven't announced an English date yet I guess that's how I'll play Kyoto Xanadu too?)

WAIT sorry I was slightly wrong. This was during the Maxim/Paulette reveal but this specific disappointed look was about the rumors of Maxim and Judith! Here's the line immediately before:

Quatre, Aaron, Van, Risette, Feri, and Agnes talking to Maxim in Arkride solutions. Aaron says to Maxim, "Still, even if you aren't actually dating Lanster, it sure sounds like you were happy to 'get to know her a bit better,' if you catch my drift.

Some GREAT Mirabel/Risette in this game, especially these two hugs

Mirabel, hugging Risette who's blushing, "Oh, hush up and take the hug. I swear, you really are such a.."

Risette, while being hugged by Mirabel and blushing, "M-Mirabel, please... We're in public...!" Kevin and Van are watching them nearby.

Mirabel, hugging Risette, "Aww, don't mind the rubberneckers. Givin' you a big, ol' squeeze is my only order of business right now."

Risette, hugging Mirabel, "Take care of yourself, Mirabel. Let's do our best so that we may deliver a positive report to one another."

(Now I'm just using this thread to post fun screenshots as I look through all mine lol) This line from Van is incredible. Props to everyone involved in writing it cause it's so good

Agnès, Judith, Bergard, and Van surrounding Mare. Van says, "We don't have any treats to pay you back with, but I can offer my sweetest please and thank you."

OH I remembered a small fun thing I liked, seeing Amalie and Nelly travel together! If there's not a scene in Horizon 2 where they go to the capital and get spotted by Sister Philia then what's even the point?

Nelly standing next to Amalia thinking ,"(Heehee. This side of her's just too adorable...)

Amalie: "Not to change the subject, Nelly, but...do you have any interest in accessories?"

Amalie: "I... I think it would look nice on you, Nelly."

Nelly, speaking to Amalie: "It'd be so cute if we matched. One sec, I'm gonna go find an Eastern accessory with a similar design!"

I also liked Jorda joining the crew in this game. Seeing her start to trust Van and co was very fun

Yume, Paulette, and Van looking and smiling at Jorda. Jorda is blushing and saying, "Grrrrrrgh..."

Jorda smiling talking to a woman behind a counter saying, "Big bro! Can you buy me some sweets? Pleeeeeease?"

I loved Rean's route so much. Every time Altina smiled my heart melted and she smiles a LOT :)

Altina smiling holding a camera saying, "Heehee. Honestly, I don't mind. It's nice getting to hear one of your lectures again, Instructor Rean."

Altina smiling for a picture, with Claiohm Solais holding her up.

Mint and Fie looking at Altina, who's smiling and has her hands on a telescope. She's saying, "You should look, too, Rean! You need to see it to believe it!"

Fie, Altina, and Towa sitting in a hot springs together. All three of them are smiling.

Side note: I love the fashion in these older dating sims so much. Like look at Kasumi's hat here! If it existed IRL I would buy it and wear it literally every time I went golfing. No one I play with would get the reference but that's fine!

I'm pretty happy I'm getting by playing Hundred Line in Japanese, but it's gonna take me months to beat it at my current rate 😅 I've only been able to play like an hour or two at a time cause after that my brain's completely shot like Darumi's here

Made a personal Switch top 10 now that Switch 2 is a month away. This feels like such a basic list but I really only played exclusives on Switch. Also Three Houses is first by a large margin lol Backloggd list: bckl.gg/jPRw

2. Super Mario Odyssey
3. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
4. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore
5. Golf Story

Finished Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, pretty impressive for a game that came out about a year after Infinite Wealth. I'm shocked how funny these games still are even after playing like 14 of them. Now I need to play something completely out of my comfort zone after this and Trails back to back lol

And after about 100 hours that's Daybreak II done! Small complaints aside, I think I like it more than Daybreak, but that's probably just cause I already knew and liked all the characters going in. Plus you can fish in this one which makes it at least 10x better🎣

Just wrapped up Sakura Wars, and damn that's a good game. The animation is incredible, I loved all the characters, and the back and forth from the theater to the battles was really fun. The tactics were pretty simple and I had some issues with the pacing, but overall I get why it's so beloved

Finished my first Ys game this weekend, Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. Shocking no one I really liked it, turns out Falcom makes good games. Also it's wild playing a 15 hour RPG after playing so many 100+ ones the past few years. After Daybreak II I'll definitely be coming back to Ys

My top 12 games I played last year. I ended up moving Persona 3 Reload out since it's a remake of a game I've already played and putting CFB 25 at the end. It was cool to have it back but I fell off quickly and Power Pro was so much more fun for me
