Why would anyone pay someone power wash their driveway? Is that a thing?

I am cursed with saying “I rarely know what you’re talking about” in Strongsads voice to my wife.

When you retire or otherwise stop practicing engineering you're supposed to return your ring to your professional association. Half the folks in my graduating class had iron rings old enough that the facetting was all smoothed down.

When you get your B.Eng there's a big ceremony. You bring your robe & gun and you hold all gather together in a big gym and hold a chain and say some prayers and oaths about it. Ok the robe & gun part is a lie but the rest is true.

Sucks big time, but also from an outside perspective that tweet reeks of insecurity. 'Why watch videos when you can read my posts' like it's literally just someone jockeying for relevancy

One of the reasons I can tell generative AI is a revolutionary technology is because it’s been mainstream for 4+ years and it has never improved my life in any way whatsoever

The lyrics are about unrequited love. The man she was trying to court fell in love with a woman from Texas instead of her. Hence, ”Choosin’ Texas”. This is a really strange thing to write in response to a wildly popular song with extremely transparent lyrics.

It’s funny you say this because this song is extremely notable to me precisely for this reason: this is the only song I hear in public that I’ve stopped and said “wow this song is on EVERY time we’re out” to my wife.

Pax @bradleygalbraith.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
That’s fair, my point is more about folks who claim to have never even heard of it. I’ve been hearing this song on speakers in public every single time I leave the house for most of this year lol. It also strikes me as the exact kind of song my left leaning but not mega online coworkers would love.

Every restaurant I’ve eaten at in the past 4 months has played this song over the speakers at some point during an hour to hour and a half meal.

I think “online” is doing a lot more here than left leaning.

Hilarious. Just a week ago while at a restaurant I asked my wife if she knew this song because it seemed like every public place I’ve gone to for months has had it playing over the speakers. Possibly the most inoffensive, un-modern country song playing these days.

I can only imagine it’s amplified so much worse for COVID given how profoundly and suddenly it pressed the pause button on some people’s lives.

Brutal. I’ve noticed this in spaces online discussing Celiac disease. Eating gluten free can be tricky to navigate but some people are online obsessing over the increased cancer risks and attributing anything ever wrong in their life or diet with getting secretly glutened with cross contamination.

Does it have to be trading card games? One of the best card games out, Arkham Horror, is not a trading card game. Highly recommend it though.

Hell yeah. When I travel for work for 3 days I check a full sized bag. Granted it’s got a hard hat, steel toed boots and reflective vest stuffed in there with sufficient spare clothes in case I spill coffee all over myself multiple times a day.

I think his thesis is precisely this flattening down of conflicts? Yes, Jessi was the target of a massive online bullying campaign. And somehow people from those same communities bullying her also tried to report to police that she was molested to stop Dahvie from hurting more people

tbh I got the impression from the Anita Sarkeesian and Hepler parts that huge helpings of dogshit hateful misogyny should be understood as omnipresent throughout the whole thing. Maybe that was a charitable read of those parts being upfront.

It's great to that you do in-fact understand how the adjective "so-called" works! I don't know that Alejandra was talking about Joe Rogan in any capacity, but surely you also recognize that when talking of "influencers and so-called journalists", not everyone must be both of those things.

Pax @bradleygalbraith.bsky.social · 15/08/2026
Merriam-Webster: falsely or improperly so named Most people wouldn’t say “so-called journalist“ to refer to a journalist. They would say “journalist“ to refer to a journalist.

You’re telling me that you understood her words “influencers and so-called journalists“ to be referring to actual journalistic media coverage rather than social media personalities?
110
Pax @bradleygalbraith.bsky.social · 15/08/2026
She hasn’t said this shouldn’t be covered by journalists. Again, you need to re-read her post as you’re arguing against something that wasn’t stated.
110
Pax @bradleygalbraith.bsky.social · 15/08/2026
If you re-read her post, she’s not ‘blam[ing] journalists for accurately reporting his plagiarism‘, she’s criticizing the people who use that reporting to build up their own social media brands for the purpose of tearing down a black man.

He's the first couple pages.
The Gist
Jesus Christ came back. Of course He came back. He said He would. The problem is that He came back gentle and confused and asking questions about sparrows and rent prices.
Before He could get His bearings, Pastor Dominion Crale of the First Church of the Perpetual Tithe had Him zip-tied in an Escalade and driven to the compound in forty-seven minutes flat. That was eighteen months ago.
The main Cathedral now operates HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD™, a multi-level wellness sacrament pipeline moving vials of genuine messianic blood at a year’s Toronto/London/Paris professional’s salary per unit (Blessed Faithful Anointed Healing Moment™), the cost of a large luxurious home in Tokyo or NYC (Chosen Hosts Exclusive Miracles Package™), a tier only reachable by mega-millionaires and billionaires (The Perfected Saints Full Indulgence Membership™), and a newly launched Divine Disciples Triple Elite Plus Eternal Covenant™ option for the most wealthy that comes with a personal blessing, concierge, and non-disclosure agreement.
They operate on artificial scarcity (above and beyond the limits of their gruesome extraction process). The First Church ensures that even the Eternal Covenant™ tier has a waiting list. Lower tier lottery winners can wait in line even through the night to receive their “blessings” on High Holy Days™. (Universal Love For All™ financing plans available.) The Vatican filed a complaint. It is in a drawer somewhere one guy has the keys to, and nobody’s seen him in a while. The SEC wrote a memo about drafting a proposal to explore a process to review the complaint. It’s in another drawer.
Jesus is in the Sanctum Sub-Basement, connected to the Eternal Harvest Array. He cannot die. He cannot leave. He has been patient about this. He waits, faithful, hoping, suffering. He waits for you.
You have been recruited by Lucifer. Yes, THAT Lucifer. (Please don’t call them “Satan” or “The Devil.” I would say if you value your life, but that is the least of what the Morningstar can take.)
Lucifer (pronouns variable and flexible, presentation business casual, stress beginning to show through the seams) sought you out personally. The pitch ran for almost two hours and included a PowerPoint with extensive citations.
The end of the pitch: “I know how this looks. I know you have questions. That’s too bad. It’s none of your business, really. What I need you to understand is this situation is more personally offensive to me than your little brain can grasp. I pursued every available channel for months. I am standing in this awful parking lot talking to you, exactly because there are no more channels. Please. You will be well-treated for your help. And I am asking nicely. I am… not good at asking nicely.”
You get a burner phone, a compound dossier, keys to a storage unit with mostly useless random items but a few bits of (poorly maintained and fragile) equipment as well, and a laminated card that reads:
CALL IF YOU NEED SOMETHING UNETHICAL
BUT NOT EVIL
Your job:
•	Get in.
•	Free Jesus.
•	Get Him out.
The Cathedral's job:
•	Stop you with extreme prejudice.
•	Post it to their forty-million-subscriber channel.
