I was never happy with D&D's official designs for the kraken, which was either a) big angry octopus, b) big angry squid, or c) fish dragon with a noodle beard. So I just did my own design, and incorporated every cephalopod bell and whistle I could.

Digital sketches of a monstrous cephalopod. Cuttlefish orientation, a small forest of arms, 3 giant squid tentacles, blanket octopus webs along the sides of the mantle, vampire squid wings, segmented armor pieces along its dorsal side that allow it to roll up and slumber like a nautilus on the sea floor.
